I have a sharp nagging pain under my right shoulderblade that's been on and off for a couple of weeks now. It kind of goes away when I move around or stretch. I asked my dr's NP about it and she said that it's probably just the position the baby is in (i.e. laying on a nerve). I've read that this could be a sign of gall bladder problems too, though. Should I be worried?

Are you sleeping exclusively on your right side? I could never sleep on my left side for very long when I was pregnant, just wasn't comfortable. I slept on my right side and I had a similar pain under my shoulder blade. I find that if I slept on the other side, or propped myself up with pillows and slept "on my back" I woke up with less pain.

i am 6 mon preg and a long time sufferer of gall bladder problems.a good sign of gall bladder problems is the sharp pain in your right shoulder blade.its also usually accompanied by feeling bloated.alot of women usually have problems when they are pregnant.if you have thrown up bile that's also another sign.my doc knows about my problem and isn't really worried.it is something i would have checked out after the baby is born because the longer it goes on the worse it gets
