This is about age of consent law as modified by marriage, in general (so feel free to answer as per whatever state you like, but tell which).

So I wondered... in many states, it is legal for a girl to marry very young (at least as early as 15, if not younger)... and of course, it is legal for a husband to have carnal knowledge of his wife, as long as she is not coerced.

Now I was wondering... an adult has sex with an underage girl. And they marry. Does the marriage retroactively make the acts of statutory rape (or worse) that happened before it took place legal? (or at least guarantee a pardon from the courts should they become interested in the case)

the cops arrested me on my way to mcdonals saying that i was apart of a gang the atempted to robb a kid but was really arrested for wearing a black sweatshirt and baggy jeans (and they say racial profiling is a thing of the past) my lawyer says there is no case against me be cause of the manor in which i was arrested but everytime i go to court i have to get a new court date because the D.A doesnt have grand jury minutes...what is grand jury minutes???

A website run by a former friend of mine has been using pictures of me for several months now. I have never given the owners of the website explicit permission to use these photos. I have sent them several emails asking them to remove the content, but they refuse to do so. Their only action to these requests was to list me on their "special thanks" page. I do not want to be given credit for anything, however. I just want my images to be removed.

Does copyright law protect people from having images of them used without their consent? Since I never signed a release form, is the photographer the owner of copyright for these photos? What can I do to stop this invasion of my privacy?

I do not understand a neighbor said that a guy whom my roomate was helping was a sex offender she said he did something discusting to her she approached me with this. I then confronted him nicely. he got angry we got in to it I went to police the sign on door said closed. It was midnight. The next morning he shows up on porch making noise. I told him to leave. he threatened me. I call police they say there is nothing they can do unless a crime is committed. Do we wait until he huirts someone first? or what can I do now to prevent him from hurting others?

my 15 year old got pregnet by a 21 year old they are now married.the juvinile judge granted permission for them and now the state has took over the case.says he has cometed unlawful sexual conduct with a minor..how can they say that with them being married,hes here elegail.he has a good paying job hes supporting his family.he goes back to court soon..how can i help him from getting charged or deported.is there anyone or thing that can help them stay together as a family..i dont want anything to happen .is there away his boss can help him.im so worried my daughter will be raising there baby alone ..its not fair things happen,but hes not leaving like alot of guys do.plzz help thank u

I was suspended from work for not calling in sick im a hourly pay employee and this has all in explanation they told me that i was suspended from my job but wasnt told when was my suspension over they told me it was to further notice is there such thing as that???? I Told them that i wasnt going to sign my suspension because i never have received a warning for my job and that was the first time that has happen i know i also didnt sign for that reason because the letter didnt have a day saying whe my suspension was over do i receive any pay or not once again this is in the state of California i also been working there with them for 2 years and they have never gave me health benefits im a full time employee is that wrong??????? By the way did i do right or wrong by not signing the letter

Ok, my babies father is refusing to sign or acknowledge his son. I am due in May and need to know what i need to do to get my sons last name the same as his fathers as we are not married. Do i have to give my baby my last name or can I give the baby his last name without his permission?
Its a mess and the father is just using anything he can to get under my skin.......
Please help and tell me what I need to do legally before I have my baby.

I was contacted by an attorney in Malaysia stating that a relative had passed away and he was representing the settlement of his estate through me since we are related. I just need to know what are the expenses associated with this inheritence in respect to Malaysian law. This attorney is telling me it takes $1250.00 to submit to the high courts. Can you verify this information and/or give guidance/direction on the process of putting closure to this transaction.
