What can the police do about a person calling and leaving a message threatening to kill you?

They can arrest him for harassment. They can do something..believe me! As long as you still have the messages and the number that called you, that man (or lady) can go to jail for a while.

What I would do is call the police and your phone company! If you can save the message of them threatening you. If you know who it is calling you take the tape and go to the police.

I know the police can track the person who is calling by the phone records. They can also tap your phone. I suggest that you call the police to make a report.

Do not delete the message - report it to the police ASAP! This is against the law and the police can help you more than we can here. Good Luck!

other than taping your phone, recording the message and then acting on the threat as a crime, not much.
