Another newborn baby boy was found abandoned and dead in Atlanta. Should the parents of this child (if they are found) be charged? What should that charge be? Should the father also be charged? What should the punishment be? Rarely are the parents found to be insane or mentally ill...Whats your take on these horrific situations?

i was reading a news article last week, and the article mentioned that a person was arrested, and that charges may be brought against them at a later time. It was my understanding that one could only be arrested after charges were brought against them.

Is it possible to get an arrest warrant without charging someone with a crime? It that's the case, it seems a little bit unjust. I know with the patriot act, in cases of terrorism, charges don't have to be filed, but i'm referring to general cases by my question.

I've been involved in a few questions lately regarding Vigilatism and whilst I'm anti this - I do agree with the sentiments of some respondants.

A great many people these days do 'need a good kicking' and whilst I would only support state controlled corporal punishment, I am all for it.

Do you agree, or not?

There's a lot of info here, but I think it's important that you read through it, especially if you're planning to go to Dinseyworld or Disneyland again.
It's terrifying how they handle injuries and deaths, and how they are allowed to get away with it by the courts.

Accidents at their parks:

* There is a guideline at Disney called the Operation Hourly Ride Capacity (OHRC) which dictates how many people should get on each ride per hour. Disney used to close the park when attendance hit 50,000. This was the number they found made things safe and enjoyable and was the maximum number of Guests the park employees and security guards could safely handle. But as more and more people came to the gates only to be turned away, greed overruled care. The OHRC was invented as a way to combat the long lines by creating an assembly-line quota to get those numbers, dollars and bodies through the park. Because of the pressure on the employees to meet the quota, accidents are on the rise.

I've been involved in a couple of questions lately where a member of the public has taken to dish out a 'local justice'.

I've been absolutely amazed at the amount of people who are pro-vigilantism and think things should be taken even further.

Do people really think that having uncontrolled mobs who act as judge, jury and executioner is a good thing?

I'm not saying that the judiciary is perfect - not by a long shot, but it must be better than mob of Vigilantis?

My ucle lives with my grandparents and his old friend keeps driving by their house at night, leaves nasty voicemails, leaves stuff outside and won't leave them alone. The cops said they couldn't do a restraining order since he hasn't done anything physical. They just said to call when he drove by but by the time they show up he would already be gone. Is there anything else they can do? My grandma is really worried that he might do something crazy and is thinking about moving because of it and I'm worried about their safety. He is crazy and who knows what he'll do.
