I bought my girlfriend a car. It is in my name. She is paying the loan, but we are afraid that my family will take the car from her if something were to happen to me. I just want to make sure she keeps the car. I just need to know what kind of letter or legal paperwork I need to ensure that.

I have been a e-mule user for at least 3 years now..I have downloaded many softwares, movies, and games in the past.
Now my local cable company whom I have internet service with keeps calling me and tell me what movies, games and software that I am downloading and they even tell me where it is on my hard drive and ask me to remove it or I will get a $10,000 fine and will lose my internet for life...What ever happing to file-sharing? Fair use?
The cable company said that If I didn't pay for it, then I should not download it. So if my neighbor buys a movie, I can not watch it or copy it for him?
But the main guestion is this, why are they able to look thur my hard drive, Do I have any privacy? I thought the police needs to get a warrent from a judge to search your home or anything else?
Where is this country (USA) coming to today. I hope this don't fall under the Patriot Act?
I bet the people in Russia is laughing at us now.

I have basic medical training and years of experience in the medical field. I no longer work in hospitals, nursing homes, or care facilities - I work at a residential hotel. We have residents with medical problems and I have made rendered assistance to them as needed - I don't play doctor. I help people up when they fall, I ask people about medications when they lock themselves out of their rooms so that I can call someone to let them back in, and I never forget that I promised at one time, to help people with medical needs. However, my employer tells me I am no longer to help injured people and I have been spoken to about rendering aid. My question is, can't I be sued for not helping? I have medical certifications, first aid, CPR certs, and I have passed the state exam for Phlebotomy and EKG technician. I have been a nurse's aid for many, many years. If I leave someone lying on the ground and they find out I could have helped, can't I get in trouble? Couldn't I lose my certs?

This court appearance was originally scheduled for February but got postponed due to weather. It's now been rescheduled for a day we're in Jamaica for our niece's wedding. We've bought tickets and everything already. To come back early just to attend this court appearance would cost us money, not to mention cut our vacation short!

If sued by the real Jones, could you not argue that you discovered someone capable of sounding like Jones, therefore, why wouldn't you hire him? You hired him because he could produced a perfect deep voice - it isn't your fault he happens to sound like a celebrity. I've always wondered where voice-likeness falls legally.

Can anyone give any advice.

I'm in the process of buying a section of land from my parents and I'm not getting anywhere.

Everything is agreed (price, size of land..) & for the past 8 months the solicitors have been involved. My solicitor has dragged his feet on this. I hadn't heard from him in 10 weeks, so I rang him & he said he had to see me urgently so I took day off work to see him, only to be told that nothing had been done in the past 10 wks as they were waiting for me to sign a form. I had actually already signed the form 2 months earlier but he hadn't noticed. Then he told me that it was all done and the only thing left was the bill & as I was holding my purse, I could pay by card now & they'll send the itemised receipt out that day. Against everything I know, I stupidly paid. That was 7 weeks ago. I have had no itemised anything sent to me & I have no idea what's happening with my land. Everytime I phone him he says that its land registrys fault.

Help. What do I do?

okay, all my posts have been about my mother passing away. my 10 year old sisters father has not been in her life for at least 5 years. he gets word about mom, and he comes to get her. im glad hes finally owning up to the responsibilities he left behind so long ago, BUT, he just ripped her out of everyones life a week after mom died. i live in dfw, tx. hes out in pheonix, az. the rest of the family is here with me, so shes got no one out there. i guess what im getting at is, i heard the age is 12 before you can choose between mother/father on who you want to live with... what about sisters?? my grandmother cant take care of her alone, shes got real bad emphysema, and everyone agreed that shed be better off with me, since i brought it up that id move her in, to keep her here. is there anything i can stand on, legally, to get her back?? what age do you have to be to decide?? are sisters included on this?? what can i do?? can i do anything?? she really wants to come live with me too!!!

The US tell the world that they fight for freedom but they supported the worst dictators of the americas. They gave the power throught the CIA to killers like Pinochet in chile , Strossner in Uruguay, Videla in argentina, the military council in brasil, to the somosas, and even bastista. they killed more people than Saddam hussein or the taliban. where was the "american" fight for justice and freedom when the latin were murdered? where had you been when we need you? or your fight for freedom is a lie? your are just liers the only thing you want is money and take raw materials. The ideal of freedom of the US people is a lie if i'm saying that is because in our counties we saw the CIA support mass murderers, and all those killers studied in fort bragg in the school of the americas how to torture and kill women and children

RE:my previous question about smoking; people make choices, why take that choice away? smokers know exactly how bad it is for them, it's annoying to keep being told. Non smokers have a choice not to go near smokers, just as smokers have the choice to smoke. telling us we're going to die won't change many peoples minds. i just don't understand how non smokers get the choice....

My contract comprises of the following:
(a) terms and conditions
(b) specification schedule
(c) response to the tender
(d) pricing schedule

I am concerned that the 'response scheudle' may be at odds with the specification, hence a dispute between the parties as to which scheudle prevails and takes precedence.

Does the the specificaiton schedule take precednce over the response scheudle.
