Do you think this is to the extreme?

Is the ACLU, hurting for money?

Why, did they need 24 lawyers, to fight one city?

Why, Is the ACLU trying to, bankrupt a city?

Why isn't adultery illegal if the marriage was a monogous one? Legally speaking, marriage is a legally binding contract so if one were to go outside the marriage, isn't that in voilation of the monogomous contract?
Or have I misunderstood this? Is monogamy implied, not stated?

I've heard that adultery is illegal in some states but its not enforced unless someone chooses to press that charge against their spouse. (That charge being divorce.)

So, and feel free to correct my thinking, but if a marriage contract states (I'm assuming its not implied) that the marriage be monogomous, then it is illegal to commit adultery, thus the contract is termintated upon proof of the adulterous act.

Why is it a choice to enforce this law, legally speaking? I understand that from a moral point of view one spouse may forgive the other and continue the marriage, but I'm wondering what is the reasoning behind marriage contracts regarding adultery here.

Thanks.

I think they should, maybe not the entire $30 million, but there lives were ruined and reputation tarnished, so they do have a legitimate case. All for the sorry D.A. Nifong to cash in on some votes. I think Nifong should be forced to pay the settlement, and if he can't pay, then he sits in a jail cell until he's able. Maybe he'll think twice before ruining peoples lives to help win the next election.

TIs claim that there are 1000s of people in the U.S. and around the world who are targeted by technology which monitors, tracks, and disrupts their daily lives 24/7, remotely. I have personally seen and heard both their physical evidence and their recorded evidence in support of their claims. Most people in the general public simply write these TIs off as nut cases. I don't think that they are. I think there is something to what they say is occurring. Even if they are mentally unstable, don't we as a society have some kind of moral obligation to seriously research this matter and find out "exactly" what is going on with all these folks. Very nearly all of them, world wide, suffer the same effects and symptoms. If its just mental illness and delusional, how can that be? Can the mental health community come up with some kind of case history that could support the mental illiness hypotheses. Are, is it just safer to simply ignore these people? Maybe there's a cover-up after all.

Blacks have fought hard for their civil rights and now see many of the things they fought for being usurped by a sizeable number of Hispanics, who have sneaked, swam or otherwise crossed the borders into the U.S. and can be counted among the “illegal” immigrants.
Our political leaders have given them a “wink and a nod” when it comes to immigration rather than reforming the immigration policy.
Concessions are made in that employers have found a way to line their pockets—offer Hispanics economic crumbs in the form of lower wages than African Americans and others would accept for the same jobs.
The US gives another wink and a nod when the “illegal immigrants” demonstrate in the streets of Los Angeles and other cities against deportation or being required to go through the immigration process.
Blacks were forced here, stripped of their language and culture, and ridiculed for the way they spoke the new foreign language—English—Hispanics don’t have to learn (press 1 for English).

I was involved in a debate about this with two friends during my lunch period today and easily spent 50 minutes on it.

I'd just like to hear what people think about it.

But first, I'd like to establish a few things:

1. Marijuana cannot kill you (unless you smoke a ridiculously large amount of it)

2. Being high is more or less like being drunk

3. No blatant ridiculous propagandic accusations, that means both sides too.

was invading Iraq and Afganestan part of a bigger plan to surrounder Iran and invade them? we can't even handle what we already have on our plate and choking too! we will only strengthen Hezbollah if we attack Iran specially if UN doesn't support it. Hezbollah is not that popular Iran and it is just a matter of time for them to be overthrown by Iranian people. they just don't see a good alternative yet.

If a person can get double homicide counts for killing a pregnant woman (California's Peterson law), this would designate that a fetus regardless of age is human. So how will this play out with RoeVWade ruling about a woman's right of medical privacy with respect to aborting her unborn. Privacy doesn't apply under probable cause and manslaughter.

I just got done reading an article about car vs Semi accidents in Ohio. It said that in 71 percent of those accidents, the driver of the car is at fault. They also said most of those accidents resulted in fatalities. As a result of this, the state of Ohio has begun a public awareness program to let people know they should give big trucks plenty of room. Especially when the driver of the car needs to get over in front of the Semi. It also states Ohio has even begun ticketing people for cutting off 18 wheelers and not giving the trucks enough room. My question for you is this: Is the government deoing anything like this in your area? And if so, what part of the country are you in?

Driving through the FastLane tollbooth I got ticketed ($290) by a Highway Patrolman who jumped out of an UNMARKED vehicle. On the ticket he checked off “Radar” as well as “Estimated” as the means for determining my speed as being 44 mph.
I have driven in the state for 24 years without ever getting a speeding ticket and I don’t believe I was driving that fast at all.
Also, I did not see any radar gun and wonder why he would check off that the speed was ”Estimated” if in fact he had used a radar gun?
Please advise. Thank you.

hi there, i work at costco two days a week. Ive been working there for over a year now as a cashier. I am one of the best cashiers the store has got. However today i got two letter for a meeting. One letter was for a meeting on sunday for my excessive latenesses (3days in a month) and the other meeting is on monday for absenteeism. I had three lates in one month each late day after the other due to my vehcile having problems and the other was due to an road traffic accident. I rung in and notified my work place for all three lates that month and telling them the reason regarding why i was late. Do i have an arggument with my work place that i could throw at them ? plus the abseentism bit is where i have had 6 illneses in one year. However the recent three ilnesses are due to me being on an antiobiotic called roaccutane which gave me bad side affects, ie back ache, headahces and so on. where do i stand with my work ? what kind argument can i put against them, plus could they sack me ?

Hello, will give you story, then question/s.. Last night, around 3am, went to an all night garage for cigarettes, there was a group of 'neds' hanging around, maybe about 12/15 of them. I was minding my own business and just leaving when one walked over and punched me square in the face, after taunting me to fight back for while, he soon returned to his pals, police appeared soon and got hold of him, he was aged maybe 21-23, he was charged with assault and taken away, I gave statement to police and was checked out in an ambulance. Had a very bloodied nose which is agony but don't think broken, have a huge cut on upper lip and sore front tooth. Anyway, what is likely to happen to him? Will I find out? And, do I have the right to any criminal damages?( If yes, how do I go about this?) Thanks...
