and I can't -- it's not freakin fair!! He is the father of my beautiful granddaugher - her mom applied for Medicaid and didn't have his SS # -- JUST full name and date of birth and he came up deceased!!! He IS a drug addict and I haven't talked to him in about a year - had to use tough love -- no other choice.....HOW CAN I FIND OUT IF IT'S HIM OR SOMEONE ELSE????? I don't know where he was living -- he could have been on the street somewhere but he moved up north. Can anyone help please? He's 27....

There is a website to look for this info. Try a search for "Social Security Death Index." It can give you the date of death. I am sorry for your situation!

I'm very sorry about the tough time you are going through right now. You really need to stay calm right now, and work things out, along with your grandaughter's mother.

There is always room for error on death records. I happen to know for a fact that the Vietam War Memorial in Washington D.C. actually contains 38 names of people that survived the war. Just stay calm and keep searching.

Easy, he did not list you as the next of kin on anything he filled out along the way. When he passed away, they probably found some identification that they were able to link back to his SSN. They then reported him as deceased to the SSA. You can start by contacting the police in the locations he was most likely located in when he died.

you need someone to talk to, do you have organisations like the Samaritan's in US
