I'm in texas and am now recieving disabilty from social securtiy. I've been disabled for quite some time, however haven't been receiving benfits for longer than two months. I've never been able to hold a job longer than two months. (not cause i'm lazy but i have severe rheumatoid arthritis and have deformed fingers and wrists.) When i was 17 my father applied for disabilty for me but we fought alot and i moved out none the less nothing came of it. The initial date that i put as my beginning day of disability was before my 22 birthday and should have put me under my mothers disabilty being as she is now deceased. when i went the woman filing my form said i had to change the day on the form because i had worked for breif periods since that date. i now want to appeal the decision to go with my income and be put on my mothers claim. can i do this or am i pretty much screwed now.

p.s. my disabilty is evident and it is evident that it didn't happen in five months.

I think it is very obvious Senator Craig is guilty as charged, and lied about it, in addition to being a hypocrite.
I think his staying in office will only further damage the reputation of the Republican party in his State and ensure they will lose that seat, whether or not they can eventually convict him (he's already been impeached.)
Anybody else think the same?

I saw this Question about Muslims and terrorist and I jus dont Get it why us always to blame???Why not the People who run this World, who make the Wrong choices for Stupid Phsycopaths like Osama to stand up and blow them selves up in the name of God amd Especially in the Name of Allah (Which stands for god in Arabic).
Well lemme Define Islam as much as I can here ok:-
Islam stands for Submition of ones Will to God so if an arrogant Bastard Blows ones Self up in the name of Islam and Allah than wht would it seem like well it would sem like Allah (God) wants us Muslims to blow you (Non Muslims) up!!! Which is Completely not True I mean Why would God wanna Destroy his Own Creation, i Hope this a l will Prove that Islam is not a Religion of Terror.
When we (Muslims) Meet sombody (anyone Muslim, non muslim) we Greet by saying Salam which Stands for peace and the Complete Phrase is Assalamualikum Which stands for May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon you, so why would we wanna ...

sounds like a silly question. but the 18th amendment said what was illegal was "..the manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors." And the volstead act said: “no person shall manufacture, sell, barter, transport, import, export, deliver, furnish or possess any intoxicating liquor except as authorized by this act.” Depending on how you view the use of the word "possess", it's not made clear whether or not you can drink the alcohol. obviously you can look at it whichever way suits your interest. but I wonder how the majority of law enforcment viewed it at the time. If they considered having it in your stomach to be "possessing" alcohol, or if once it was in you you were safe, as long as you weren't cavorting around with a bottle in your hand. it seems possession could easily have to do with possesion in reguards to distribution.
any historians or law men out there know how this was usually handled at the time by law enforcement and lawyers?

Sweet Jesus, the academic world is a total joke. This is actual proof. It's academic welfare. This study is proof of the OBVIOUS. A number of idiots were paid six-figures to "discover" this. Is it time for university reform? A bunch of snotty pricks in their ivory tower bubble study what people in the real world already know. It's a shame. Why can't they investigate issues that people really want to know? It seems like Fox Entertainment and NBC Dateline do a better job nowadays of investigating issues people want to know about.

They cheer lustfully for war in Iraq, which had no justification to begin with.

They say it's not about getting Iraq's oil... fine.

They know it's definitely not about getting Bin Laden, he's not in Iraq unless he's as dumb as the Dubya.

So, what part of War Mongerer doesn't describe the Republicans here who say "stay the course, the war is going so well!"?

You know, under International Law, the war in Iraq is illegal. Oddly enough, under US Congress Law, its legal.

Soon after freedom in Aug,1947,works started on WAR FOOTING to make pakka road to join Pathankot of Punjab with Jammu, the only access route for entry of Indian army later from Oct. end 1947 to capture Jammu & kashmir. A floating bridge on river Ravi on the way too was made. Telegraphic communication lines too were secretly laid along this route upto Srinagar beyond Jammu, all required for military action. Earlier, all those things were existing on Rawalpindi-Srinagar highway, the only all weather open natural route to Srinagar. For those all funding, engineering expertise & labourers went from India by planning of Sardar Patel, as written in book: 'Patel, A Life' by Rajmohan Gandhi. All works were completed by15 Oct,1947. Earlier, the route was unusable for a bullock cart. Was this done without India's pre planning with king Hari singh of Kashmir for accession ? Clearly without that India'd not have captured militarily J&K on 15-8-1947,even if king wanted so. Why hiding from public ?
