I am a 21 year old female (5'9 if that makes a difference). I need to get a gun (legally, with a license). I know nothing about guns....I've fired .22 rifle a few times, and an old .38 service revolver.

I need one for personal protection, does anyone have any suggestions on what to get?

Thanks in advance

I recently got a speeding ticket in South Carolina. He said that I was going 55 in 35 but dropped it to 44 in 35. This is my first ticket, and I can't say for sure that I wasn't speeding. The ticket is 76 dollars and I stand to lose two points. It would have been 180 something dollars if he had put down 55 in 35. A part of me feels that it is best to just pay it especially since he dropped the speed from 55 to 44. I don't know how fast I was going, so I can't prove I wasn't speeding. Or should I go to court and throw myself at the judge's mercy? Also, what's the likelihood that two points will affect my car insurance?

You know what I mean. You're driving just fine, and then boom you see a police cars flashing lights. Suddenly you're not looking at the road; you're looking at your speedometer, then you glance back up to see that you're veering off, and you almost crash. The police car zooms right past you. How often has this scenario resulted in accidents? A cop car- without lights- following behind you on the highway, even? High-speed pursuits that endanger bystanders (or "bydrivers").

I have had some one say I should be shot two diffrent times on yahoo answes and have read answers to other's questions that say things like certan races of people should be murdered. I don't really think it will happen and am not fearing for my life but it makes me wonder if law inforcement ever investigates these things. I know we have free speech and I'm all for it but is thereating to do illeigal things illigal? What about the peopel on the mental health sectiion say they are considdering suicide? Does any one investigate those types of things? How are people investigated online?
I'm not advocating it, I'm just wondering.

My boyfriend's car broke down and I'm picking him up on my way home from work to bring him to the liquor store so he can get him and his buddies some beer. Problem is, I don't turn 21 until next month so technically I'm underage. Will either of us get in trouble for me driving him there and him transporting the drinks in my car back to his place?

my brother was dog setting for me when i was out of town. he let my dog out to do his duty and the city (or small town police) pick him up. the thing is the court date they have scheduled is not going to work out because i plan on movie 600 miles away to a new job witch will not let me off for the time to go all the way back to take care of it and city hall refuses to schedule a earlier date. so the question is what will or can happen if i just and say f$@% it. is there a statue of limitations on such a thing if so how long. oh and my bro's is broke and would never be abile to take responsibilaty

So I got an unfair speeding ticket. I was going 25 on a 25 zone. My speedometer read 25 and an actual external speed monitor read 25. I also saw the cop with his radar gun. So I drive by at 25, and he still pulls me over. He says I was going 44? I told him that there is no possible way I was going that fast. He pointed at where he tracked me, and it is about 1000 ft away. Is that too far to get an accurate radar reading? Anyways, he didn't listen and gave me a ticket? I feel so wronged, I mean I obeyed the law and still got a ticket. So is this worth fighting? How can I prove my side of the story?
