My bf n I had a fight n we hit each other in the moving car. Some neighbors called a police n reported. When I was asked, I told them the truth that I started n he overreacted n hit me back. I did not tell too detail, tho. Apparently, the officers found bruise on me, n a bleeding scar. Thus, they took my bf to the jail n he spent a night there coz his parents bailed him out. I did not know what I was doing, but now I regreted what i had told the cops. He went to the court today (and I showed up too to support him), but he chose pleaded not guilty, n he was re-arrested. now, what can I do to help him? I want the case to be closed or dropped. Is there anything I can do? I want to be prepared for the next court.. Please, help..

I am thinking about writing a master's thesis this summer, but I am having a hard time finding a topic I am interested in. I enjoy learning about criminal profiling, serial murderers, and sex offenders, but I don't know what would be an interesting topic to cover. Does anyone have any ideas of a topic that would be interesting and easy to find research on?

Some people say that guns hurt more then help people in homes. Others say that it is for protection and it is in the bill of rights that we have the right to bear arms. If a robber attacks u and u pull out a gun what is the robber most likely 2 do? Well if he has a gun he’ll just shoot u if he doesn’t he'll run but either way your gambling wit your life. What is your opinion?

I want to throw a VERY LOUD birthday party for my Husband on Friday night, and I want our attorney to be present in case the Newport Beach police department shows up at the party in order to break it up. This way he can let them know that the city would be facing a very costly lawsuit if there is any inconvenience to my guests.

Assuming that my lawyer is an invited guest at this party, how much should we pay him per hour as insurance against the breakup of the shindig?

My friends and I were joking around and ended up getting arrested when I was 16 and charged with a felony. B/C I was a minor, the record is "sealed."

However, a few years later, my friend is a police officer at the station that I was brought to. Is it possible for him to stumble across a file of my record? Is a file still kept? Was I supposed to pick it up?

In Virginia, can police officers write their relatives, ( brother, sis, cousin, aunt, etc) a ticket or is this considered a conflict of interest for Virginia? Thanks

I was going like 7 mph over, and the only reason I was even speeding was because I had to get my dog's medication to him before the training school/kennel that he is at closes. If he doesn't get his medication he could get very sick, possibly even die. (I didn't bother telling him this, because I know it doesn't matter. I admit that I was speeding, and I am not trying to make excuses.) The cop was very rude and unprofessional, and I was already having a pretty HORRIBLE day. Last week one of my closest friends died. On top of that, I was fined 70 dollars, and I am pretty much broke. I spent all of my money sending my dog to the training camp that he is at!!! How long do you normally have to pay your traffic ticket? I need to put in some extra hours at work to pay for this, so it will take a while. This sucks. : (

i parked across the street from where i usually park, it's directly across the street and i got a parking ticket for being in the wrong lot. there's no signs that even says the names of the lots or which color your permit has to be, the only way to know is to go online and look at a confusing map of the areas surrounding the campus. the ticket is $30 and i'm thinking of appealing it but i don't know what grounds to appealing a parking ticket are.

Can the night club refuse the service /admittance to a person solely based on someone else`s accusations of that person? There is no drugs, alchogol or any other offensive behavior involved, but simply because Person A hates Person B and they happen to go to the same night club and the person A who hates Person B asked the owners of the night club to call the security next time the Person B shows up in the club? The accusations is that the Person A doesn`t feel comfortable in the person`s B presence ? Is it possible for a night club to refuse service/admittance to person B based on such accusations and what can the person B sue the person A for this?

My husband was entering the on ramp to the 401 in Toronto on the weekend when an OPP officer jumped into his car and pulled him over to give him a seat belt ticket. Both him and his friend were not wearing their seat belts but did get them on before they were pulled over. When the officer wrote the ticket he did not take the ownership and fill the ticket out wrong. He stated the year of the vehical a 2008? He told my husband that if he had of omited he had not had his seat belt on he would not have given the ticket to him. Does anyone have any advice on this?
