I want to throw a VERY LOUD birthday party for my Husband on Friday night, and I want our attorney to be present in case the Newport Beach police department shows up at the party in order to break it up. This way he can let them know that the city would be facing a very costly lawsuit if there is any inconvenience to my guests.

Assuming that my lawyer is an invited guest at this party, how much should we pay him per hour as insurance against the breakup of the shindig?

you seem to be the most self absorbed inconsiderate person I have ever seen in a public forum. And I do believe your attorney would greatly appreciate that he is being invited so that he can be USED. You are one disgusting selfish tramp if you are being serious in any way.

This is a hard story to hear because I am a dog owner. I am also a cop though. Unfortunately it happens very often that while serving a search warrant officers are attacked by the owners dogs. I know in your case your dog wasn't attacking but the officer took the necessary precautions. It is a bad thing to read. You could try going into the police station and speaking to his superiors. If you do decide to take this route..do not go in with an angry and bad attitude because that will get you nowhere. I'm not sure that there is anything that the department will do for you but maybe you will at least get an apology from his chief and the officer himself. In saying all that, I am sorry for the loss of your dog. It is a sad story. The officer did not act professionally in laughing at you afterwards. In the heat of the moment though he saw the dog come running towards him and usually in those cases the dog is in attack mode. The officer should have apologized to you afterwards though. I don't think a law suit would really go anywhere in this case so it might just be a waste of money to get the lawyer. Again, being a dog owner and a cop I understand both sides of the argument. The only thing I didn't like reading was that you would laugh the next time an officer was killed in the line of duty. Not all of us act like unprofessional officers and that's something that hits home when an officer is killed.

Why do you have to put in every single post that you have a lot of money, are super rich, etc? Also, why are you throwing a b-day party for your husband, if you are trying to divorce him and get "what's due" to you? Don't you realize that, the more money you spend on things like a loud expensive b-day party, the less money he will have in the bank come time to actually do the divorce? I think you should pay the lawyer $10,000 per hour to act as protection against the police, as well as paying his full retainer if the police still take action and the lawyer must sue the force. You don't belong here on Yahoo! Don't people like you have an expensive website to go on, that is made up of only weathly others who understand each other? Why are you on this FREE site, isn't that a little beneath you? This site is made up of a majority of lower class people who don't truly understand you, can't you see that from the rude responses you get? Why would you waste your time on here with so many "common" people, getting inadequate, low class advice? I would highly recommend that you go to another place, where you only get quality advice, at a fair price, of course. Don't waste your time on here any more, listening to us middle class wannabes. We can't possibly keep up with your lifestyle, plus, most of us are schooled by public education, so we aren't really as smart as you and your people, so how are we supposed to know anything about hiring lawyers?

Well, I don't think that an attorney would just throw a threat at a police officer upholding the law. That is known as obstruction of justice, and that could get your lawyer disbarred. I don't think a party would be worth a lawyer's career. But that is just me.

Officers have the right to come in if the noise is above the noise ordinance levels. And if someone living around you complains, that person also has the right to have the noise laws upheld for their peace of living. It is selfish to think that your desire to throw a party outweighs someone else's right to a quiet evening of sleeping. Not everyone works 9 to 5 Monday thru Friday. I know that if I had to be to work at 5 am the next morning and I couldn't sleep due to you, I would be calling the cops and raising holy hell.

I think you should speak to your lawyer for all of the particulars before making this decision. It might be a waste of your money and his/her time.

Hint: Throwing a loud party and disturbing the peace is what you would be doing. Another hint: That is against the law. Only takes one person to complain. Your lawyer can sue and gladly take your money and the Police will gladly laugh in your face as they ticket you for the disturbance. Get lippy and make the wrong move and they might just arrest you and there wont be a single thing you can do but pony up the cash for bail. Its people like you that give me job security. Keep dreaming..... oh and sue to your hearts content. It makes it fun for us because as long as we do everything by the book we have nothing to worry about.

1. You are more than arrogant
2. The police don't care about your lawyer in the least. they hear threats like the one you intend twenty times a day.
3. The city is not going to spend one extra dollar in the event you are stupid enough to sue them. They have their own attorneys already collecting nice pay checks.
4. Any inconvenience to your guest is about as absurd as your thought process.
5. Your civil rights STOP when they infringe on the rights of others.
6. Ask your attorney about the legal doctrine of 'quiet enjoyment of one's domicile', then ask him how much excitement he has for playing in your silly childish scheme.

Please post the video of yourself being put in the paddy wagon.

Edit: I just read some of your previous posts, what is the name of the trailer park you live in?

That doesn't sound like a good idea to me. There are laws concerning disturbing the peace. Your best bet would be to invite all of your surrounding neighbors to the party. That way no one is upset by the noise because they are at the party.

You're obviously dumb, otherwise you wouldn't be asking such inane questions. If you really have that kind of money, you would already have the lawyer on a retainer, thus you just inviting him to the party wouldn't cost you a cent.

Why are you so concerned about his fee anyways? Makes you look cheap when you fret about such trivial sums of money.

Sure but the police will not be intimidated. Throwing a LOUD party without a permit is illegal. It's also disrespectful to your neighbors.

This poor chick is probably throwing her party at the local Chuck E Cheese, hope her 17 year old husband has a good time and doesn't get sick in the ball crawl.
