Salman Khan left Mumbai and got into flight to Jodhpur to surrender before the court. His journey was covered minute to minute in the electronic media. Most of the people were aware about it. Rajasthan Police reached Jodhpur airport in big strength to arrest him. This cost of mobilization of Police force would have been a few lakh of rupees. What was attained by this. There is a shortage of Police to investigate many serious crimes. It would have been better to use these resources for more demanding jobs. What a waste of resources and public money. Arresting a convict a few minutes was all that was achived by this massive waste of public funds. Should this waste of public continue?

I was beaten up by 4 guys, one guy stomped on my knee dislocating it, while they all beat into me. I saw them a few minutes later walking down the road so I rang my 2 friends, we got out the car and hit them a few times with bats in the legs causing minor bruising/sprains to three of the guys. I went to jail as did my friends. was this fair? It was my first offence ever.

Does my registration expire on my birthday or the end of my birth month?

Registrations issued in the name of an individual expire at midnight on the day of their birth date, except for mobile homes and commercial vehicles. Mobile homes expire at midnight on the last day of the month of December. Commercial vehicles expire at midnight on the last day of the month of May (if registered semiannually) or December (for annual registration).

ok, say someone is a alcoholic. they are legal age, and don't do anything wrong, except being a alcoholic. i was wondering if someone in their family or someone who knows them could do something that would prevent them from buying alcohol anymore?(other than some type of rehab or intervention) like a card or something that says "this person is not allowed to purchase alcohol"

OK, I was going down a 4 lane road, I was going to turn to my left at the light to go to a dept. store. The light was green, the cars in the on-coming lane were all turning to their left. I did not see any other cars coming. So as I was entering the parking lot, almost finished with my turn, I feel something tap my bumper. So a Loomis Fargo, armored car, taps my bumper. I was in a hurry with a medical emergency and had to get to my daughter. There was no damage at all done to either vehicle. I offered to give them all my information but they wouldn't take it. So, I left. What kind of trouble could I be in? I have nothing on my record and have a good traffic record.

I'll try to make this as short as possible: I was talking about my fiancé’s brother at lunch today and the subject of his nice little bomb threat at his high school came up. I mentioned how it's sad that he will be charged with a felony at 17 and how that pretty much sums up his life, and my fiancé said that I was wrong. He said that for someone to commit a felony they have to go to jail for at least 2 years. I just kind of bit my tongue and rolled my eyes. I'm almost positive he's wrong.
The kid is being charged with threatening to bomb a public building and with conspiracy. He served about 2 weeks in a juvenile center, and has been on house confinement for about 6 months.
So if he's charged (which he will be) will this be considered a felony?

Okay some of you rude people. I know what the heck a license's plate is. The OFFICER is the one who asked for my Driver's licenses and looked as he doubled checked my tag and then HE stated; you tag expired a few days ago because your birthday was 08/26 !!! It was 08/31/07 today when he did this. He made that comment, not me. So, apparently, the to them, your birthday does have something to do with the expiration of the expiration sticker on the licenses plate !!!!! Why in the world would be make that statement. Everyone can see that it has 08/07 on it.

My sticker had 08-2007 and we are still in 08-2007 why pull me over if you had no information on when my "actually" date of birth is? It was not 09-01-2007 when he pulled me over. So, it was ridiculous when there are more important crimes. I didn't run a red light or do anything illegal. He pulled me over and then he asked for my Driver Licenses and then look at my tag and made his comments about my tage being expired a few days ago and he is being nice and could write a ticket but is giving me a warning. Physically looking at my 08-2007 tag from his car isn't a good reason as to why he pulled me over and seems very illegal. I could see it being justifiable had it been 09/2007. But, come on does he have esp as to my birthdate.

What will happen to my friend?
Ok, I am a 19 year old boy, and my friend, he is 20 and he has special needs (social and emotional issues), and he did not understand the consquences of what he did, and did not understand what he did was wrong. He punched a college administrator, and also lied on government forms, etc. (State: NY) His parents are defending him on this (he is special needs), as they will not have him sent to jail (he is special needs). Will they understand, that he cannot handle jail, and what will they do, like community service or house arrest w/ parents to supervise? I am so worried for my friend. Please explain and let me know.

Any suggestions about the most effective pepper spray? I have considered 'Sabre', 'Fox', and 'Wildfire'. Is there really a difference? I want to buy some for home protection, in my car, and to have in public. I live in Atlanta, GA and travel between Florida and Tennessee. I know some states have particular laws about pepper spray.

I was in a fender bender in a parking lot (private property) late at night against a big/built guy, we decided not to call the police and handle it between us. I was just going with the flow, didnt have my cell phone, and was intimidated. My car had no damage and his whole car is worth at max $1000 and had minor damage to his grill. I gave him my insurance, license, and tag information. All he gave me was his phone number and first name. After the accident, I have witnesses who say that we were backing up at the same time and stopped before I did. He is trying to claim that it's my fault and that I owe him for his estimate. I do not want to pay him because he has no proof of fault. Now, he is threatening with filing it on my insurance and making a small claim and taking me to court. (Oh yeah, his friend was driving his car and called him to the accident, so the owner/claim maker wasn't even there when it happened.)

He has three tickets that he was trying to write an appeal for( leaving the scene, failure to report (an accident) and a request to suspend his license. He failed to file the appeal papers by the correct date and is about a week late so a bench warrent was issued.
He's po'd with me cus he wanted to stay at my house for the next few days thinking they'd come looking for him. I'm just not so into it for several reasons. Actually I just don't feel like having the company is all.
My opinion is that if he was pulled over then maybe he'd have something to worry about but we're talking about traffic tickets, not major crime, right?
