Doubt it. Is a parent allowed to transport alcohol back to the house with a child in the car if the bottle is sealed?

The person who is driving is responsible for the car and what's in it, but the ticket should have gone towards the 22 yr old for supplying or intent to supply a minor. I would fight this in court. There are circumstances where it's legal for 18 yr olds to transport alcohol if they have a certificate for work. I don't believe the driver should face any charges. You may want to ask a lawyer- There are many lawyers who'll answer a quick question over the phone probono.

If everything is unopened, then I don't think so. But if you are crossing state lines, that might be another story. And one could question why all of the alcohol, when you are the only one that is of legal drinking age.

Safe bet - don't transport alcohol with underaged people in the car.

It is illegal to have in your possession any alcohol under the age of 21. If it is in the vehicle ...yes illegal...and if the police come to your home and everyone is drinking...you the 21 year old will be charged with contributing...big big problem.

Federal law prohibits driving in a car with an open alchohol container, sale of alchohol to a minor or giving a minor alchohol...

So...(Not 100% sure for IL) you should be safe. JUST DON'T OPEN THEM!!!

If you open them, you WILL be arrested.

good luck!
