My sticker had 08-2007 and we are still in 08-2007 why pull me over if you had no information on when my "actually" date of birth is? It was not 09-01-2007 when he pulled me over. So, it was ridiculous when there are more important crimes. I didn't run a red light or do anything illegal. He pulled me over and then he asked for my Driver Licenses and then look at my tag and made his comments about my tage being expired a few days ago and he is being nice and could write a ticket but is giving me a warning. Physically looking at my 08-2007 tag from his car isn't a good reason as to why he pulled me over and seems very illegal. I could see it being justifiable had it been 09/2007. But, come on does he have esp as to my birthdate.

Usually if your tags are expired, or close they can issue you a warning, maybe your "month" tag was not clear enough to read, which is why he stopped you.

But for goodness sake, you don't have a ticket, no fine, nothing, so why are you so worked up over something so trivial?

Remember don't sweat the small stuff.

What do plate tags have to do with your birthdate????

If he pulled you over on 8/31, you could very well have challenged a ticket had you gotten one. But you didn't. So this is all moot.

As for pulling you over for expired tags - it is illegal to operate an automobile with expired plates. If you don't have stickers on the plate, then they are expired in the eyes of the law. Pay the registration fee and get the tags if you don't want hassle from the cops.

If the facts are as you say they are, you were the victim of an illegal stop.

The police officer has to have articuable reasonable suspicion that a crime is being or has been committed in order to stop a vehicle. It sounds like he did not have reasonable suspicion in this case and your 4th Amendment Right to be free of unreasonable search and seizure were violated.

You are exactly right, and contrary to what has already been posted, your constitutional rights are worth "fussing" about. The US Constitution is not a techinicality.

this is the 3rd question you've posted and you've gotten the same answers all the time yet you cannot comprehend that WHEN YOU WERE PULLED OVER, YOU WERE NOT PULLED OVER FOR ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY HAVING TO DO WITH YOUR BIRTHDATE. YOUR LISCENSE PLATE ON THE BACK OF YOUR CAR WAS EXPIRED.

Your birthdate has nothing to do with this situation. He took your license to check and see if it was suspended or if you had any pending warrants.

Your birthday has nothing to do with your tags so im not sure what the problem is. Your tags expire on your car every year on the day you bought the car.

For heaven's sake, you didn't even get a ticket, and yet you fuss and fuss about it. You need to GET A LIFE! And, in the future, make sure your license plates are current.
