And it's pulling a tanker that could be filled with gasoline and the driver is wanted for murder and is not stopping. How do you bring this chase to a safe end?

that they are meant to uphold and police? For example, why is it ok for a police car to break road rules when they are not chasing fugitves or on their way to a crime scene. Is it a matter of "do as I say, not as I do?"

i have noticed that every firefighter i know have or own a gun. i go to the gun shop to buy a handgun, i see some guys wearing a local firefighter t shirt looking at guns. i go to the shooting range, i see some firefighters wearing a local firefighter t shirt and shooting their guns. i used to work as a cashier at a local store, when people come in to pay for something and they pay by credit card, i am required to see their i.d., when guys come in to pay by credit card, they show me their i.d., instead of showing me their driver license, they show me their firefighter license and right next to that i.d. in their wallet is a concealed handgun license. why? why do all firefighters carry guns and always look pissed off for? their not cops, its not like they have the right to use their gun and shoot people. - no disrespect to firefighters

A while back I got a failure to present insurance ticket, which I didn't think was a big deal at all because I had insurance.

In the time between when I received the ticket and my court date I got a new policy and a new policy number and the older policy that was covering me when I received the ticket was terminated. All is fine and good EXCEPT:

My court date is tomorrow and my insurance company can not or will not provide me with the policy for 2-3 WEEKS.

I'm desperate, what can I do?!

I called the court to ask to reschedule but they insisted that the only way it could be rescheduled was for me to not show up and have a warrant issued!

If I just go and they won't do anything for me and I have to eat the charge what are the penalties?

Thanks.

Might sound like a stupid question but I don't care. I've always wondered if they can pull you over for that and give you a ticket. I'd assume they would but I've never heard of any incidences of this. Maybe cause no one would be stupid enough to do this. But boy if I could, I'd be flippin off a lotta cops...

And if so, how loud is "too loud"? And what is the traffic violation?

Someone told me that in addition to the background check, they do conduct a credit check. That you can't have bankruptcy, foreclosure, bad credit, etc. Is this true???

This morning I observed an officer take a poodle on a leash from the backseat of his squad car and take the dog into the dog grommers. Are policemen allowed to use the squad car for such personal errands ? Should I report this ?

He was there 20 mins. This was obviously not a police dog .lol

Ok, lets try this again. I just posted this, but then like a fool had to show my backside and respond to someone with an unitelligent answer.

Thank you to all law enforcement officers for keeping my family safe. Thank you for putting your life at risk each and every time you wear your uniform (and sometimes even when not in uniform.) Thank you for enforcing the laws that are put in place for a reason. Thank you for being the one brave enough to protect all, even the ones that want to bad mouth you until they need you. Thank you for being an inspiration to my children (both want to be LEO's). Thank you for doing what you do.

The saggy pants ban is in Shreveport, LA. A person sagging more than 3 inches below the waist line is subject to a $100 fine. Is this the dumbest law you have ever seen? Is it really enforcable? Does it target young black men? Would a cop really waste their time on enforcing this law?

My husband and I won custody of my stepdaughter 2 years ago. Recently my stepdaughters mother lives with her current boyfriend w/child # 4 on the way. They have fights that the police have to come to their house. We didn't know about this till 2 weekends ago when SD came home and told us the cops came cause her mom and bf were fighting physcially in front of kids. He grabbed her moms arm, she hit his head, etc. Apparently this is the 4th or 5th time cops came for domestic violence in the last 2 months, we just learned all this. Her mom says he was addicted to pills, and she got his doctor to switch his prescription and they are going to therapy now so everything should be all good again. Well she comes to get her Friday as this weekend is hers. Do we have any right to keep her from going somewhere we DO NOT feel safe for her to go? What if it does happen again & they both go to jail, does my SD goto CPS custody or will we get called to come get her?
