Because he was a celebrity, of course. Anyone else would have never gotten away with it. Kind of like Paris Hilton, etc. Celebrities, for some reason, are not responsible for their own actions. Just the average person is. Infuriating, huh?

Cause the bronco was driving slow, if the cops were driving fast it would make no sense, I think OJ was pulling the old polish hostage trick.

Al was on the phone with police claiming that OJ was suicidal if my memory serves me...
the police didn't want to be responsible for OJ killing himself.
