that they are meant to uphold and police? For example, why is it ok for a police car to break road rules when they are not chasing fugitves or on their way to a crime scene. Is it a matter of "do as I say, not as I do?"

I was travelling down the highway and was passed by a police vehicle doing maybe double my speed. He had no flashing lights, no sirenn didn't indicate when changing lanes and had a mobile phone to his ear. Further down the highway I pulled into the KFC drive though and there he was 2 cars in front of me. What, he was getting a snack on the way to a crime scene? Bulls#!4

How do you know when an officer is heading to a call? I worked ten hour days on patrol, spending the first eight going from call to call to call and the last two writing reports.

Just because I was not using red lights and the siren does not mean I was just driving around because I felt like it.

Sad how people complain that about officers, then complain again because when they call they can't get there fast enough.

In many states the rules do not include Police Cars
For example; in at least one state a police vehicle is excluded from being considered a motor vehicle and cannot then violate the law.

It basically comes down to when you are policed by your own people ( cops, politicians, military, etc.) you are likely to be given a pass in the name of "brotherhood". Justice is just a word. No such thing truly exists.

How on earth do YOU know where they are going?

**EDIT**
To answer your idiotic email rant:
You don't know who he was talking to. You don't know why he was speeding. You don't know if he got called to assist and then it was cancelled. You don't know anything but what you have assumed.

Oh, he forgot to use his blinker. Big effin' deal.

Hey, they CAN go fast, because they are trained to drive fast and safely as part of their job. Did ya know they are trained to go safely through red lights, too? And they can also lead whole funeral processions through red lights. It's part of THEIR training.

Why can certain members of the school community have textbooks that have all the answers in them? Because teachers are trained in how to utilize those books to maximize student learning. It is part of THEIR training. Every profession has its perks, you know. My dad gets to prescribe controlled substances. My mom gets to play with needles. My brother-in-law plays with electricity. And firefighters play with fire!

It is part of their TRAINING!

If it was a crime scene at YOUR house I bet you would be screaming for them to get there as fast as they can!

It does not mean that police are not responding to another call. Police respond to all kinds of calls without lights/sirens.

Because WE THE PEOPLE wont get off our lazy butts and demand, by force if needed that these people pay for their crimes.

Our founding fathers did. We are just to lazy to do the same thing they did.

Because, folks, that's what its gonna take to return our country to freedom.
