When the street value is $10 dollars. Sure the person learns the lesson, but they do things like that just because they CAN. And they say the government doesn't profit from pot being illegal.

I recently got a ticket going 79 in a 65 in Virginia on interstate 85 from a county police officer from whoodathunk Virginia. Does he have jurisdiction to issue a speeding ticket on a interstate highway?
I am thinking of possible avenues to get the ticket nullified b/c I don't want my insurance to increase!

How can you show them proof they are stalking you? I have someone that just happens to know when I have company everytime, what they drive, when my hubby is home, and a whole bunch of other things...And this person does not live anywhere close to me and has no reason to be on this side of town at all...and we don't even live on the main drag even if he were running errands...So how do I prove to law enforcement that this guy is stalking me?

My boyfreind and I were at the archery shop that my cousins owns and when we went outside someone had stolen his bow out of the truck. He has a lot of money poured into his bow so he was pretty upset. A freind of my cousins came into the shop to show him this awesome bow he got from a pond shop.
Seems how my cousin did all the customized work on that bow he knew it was stolen. He is giving us the bow, but we need to know what to do about the pond shop and finding out who sold it to them and what we can do legally. Any suggestions?

How would be the most appropriate way for the neighborhood to handle such a matter? Who do we contact? Do we have any legal rights to have the weapons removed?

If this man has rigged weapons with projectiles that, if set off, would exceed his property lines...it could be dangerous for us while standing on our own property.

This man has a history of assault, and often lives outside of reality.

What is the legal responsibility of those who know of this and do not act on it?

He made these claims about our new SIL. We have fought these claims since last November. Finally, last Monday we received a notification from the state judge who heard our case that all charges were dropped. She also wrote in her brief that the BF filed the charges intentionally and with malice. He also used the children to help him do his dirty work. Now, my question is this, What kind of charges can/will be brought on the ex SIL? A copy of the report has been given to the states attorney so we know he is aware of the situation. Also, what kind of punishment could he get?

seriously, the cops came to my house at 2am this morning to tell me that one of the neighbors complained that my dog is too loud at night and they asked me to keep her quiet, to put a mussle(spelling?) on her face to keep her from barking. he said "i really don't want to come back here because your dog is barking in the middle of the night" is that right? is it a law that dogs can't bark at night? and why does it only have to be my dog that gets silenced? there's dogs all over the neighborhood that bark at night!

Question: is there really a way for the cops to make me put a mussle (sp?) on my dog so she can't bark at night?

There was this guy in this section who's user name was "Charles J" who said he was 6'5" and in his 320s and wanted to fight a cop. If someone REALLY wanted to take on a real police officer who was fully trained, wouldn't they have to look up the Police Adacemies and ask about being a paring partner where they get to spar in real life with either a cadet or a real cop in some boxing ring? I'm curous after his request that I hope someone gives him the answer on where to go and I'd like to know how he held up because I think it'd be interesting because he's got the size and muscle, but how will he do against a fully trained cop?

Unless he knows some proper self-defense tactics, I'm not so sure he'll do very well.

I'm only 6'2" and in my 220s so I already know I wouldn't do well unless I was trained.

I brought a radar detector from Sam's Club other day. It will alert me if there is a police car near by. I guess I can drive above speed limit if I have a radar detector to let me know the presence of police car and slow down when required. What happens if police find radar detector in a car if they pull you out for any reason?

I have reason to suspect that my EX hubby has used my children's information to attain credit. We are still on good terms dispite the divorce..etc. I haven't confronted him about this yet. I won't put up w/ this though. I just don't think that anyone else would have their information. And the ones who would have it would never damage their future like that. So, my question to you is...

Would you file charges against your EX if you were in this situation?

Should I just go straight to the police and file a report (as if I didn't suspect him)? Or, should I ask him about it first?

Particularly for those who keep guns around the house for that reason. Like if someone broke in and you pulled that shotgun from under the bed.

In the book 1984, George Orwell wrote about a society that is constantly overseen by a higher authority. This higher authority will like to know everything you do. Spy cameras are laid at every corner of the city and everyone and every movement is literally observed by Big Brother. This is rather uncomfortable as it encroached into a person's life.

Do you think there can be an advantage if secret cameras and secret microphones are installed in every corner of the streets? By doing this, it will give the local authorities full knowledge of what is happening.

Should a crime be commited in the darkest corner in the back alley, it can be recorded and the culprits apprehended.

This happened about 10 miles from where I grew up. LOL

ABBOTSFORD, Wis. — Police cited a legless man and his friend with drunken driving _ the third and second such arrests for the men, respectively _ saying the disabled man was at the wheel while his friend worked the pedals.

Harvey J. Miller, 43, was steering the 1985 Chevrolet truck and Edwin H. Marzinske, 55, was operating the pedals when they were pulled over Aug. 18, according to a police report.

Miller, who was sitting in the driver's seat, told officers he had too much to drink, but argued he wasn't really driving since Marzinske was on the brake and the accelerator, police said. Marzinske was arrested on the same charge.

Miller received a citation for a third drunken driving offense, and Marzinske his second. Both also were cited for driving after their licenses had been revoked.

Any police have comments? How long would the paperwork on this one take?!

He was arrested for tapping his feet!!! This was the lewd conduct the policeman reffered to as "often used by persons communicating a desire to engage in sexual conduct"
I honestly don't know if he is gay or not. But I do know that just the accusation once made public would have ruined his career no matter if he plead guilty or innocent. He plead guilty to try and keep it under wraps and of course it didn't work.
IT IS A SAD SIGN OF WHAT AMERICA HAS BECOME WHEN A MAN CAN BE ARRESTED BY THE POLICE AND RUINED BY THE MEDIA FOR TAPPING HIS FEET IN A BATHROOM!!! Maybe he is gay, and maybe he has done other things in the past to suggest he has issues. But this whole thing stinks. Tapping his feet???? I'm almost afraid to take a crap in a public bathroom ever again. What if I cough or clear my throat or any other signal gay people might use that I am unaware of? Could I be arrested? I find myself wishing more and more everyday that I could just move to another planet.
