My boyfreind and I were at the archery shop that my cousins owns and when we went outside someone had stolen his bow out of the truck. He has a lot of money poured into his bow so he was pretty upset. A freind of my cousins came into the shop to show him this awesome bow he got from a pond shop.
Seems how my cousin did all the customized work on that bow he knew it was stolen. He is giving us the bow, but we need to know what to do about the pond shop and finding out who sold it to them and what we can do legally. Any suggestions?

Did you file a police report when it was stolen? If so, notify the police that you have located the item at the pawn shop and they will assist in getting it back as well as tracking the thief. If you did not file a report, you are not likely to get any help at this point.

He should have called the police when he noticed it was stolen so a report could have been made. Then when the bow was found charges could have been made, because when a pawn shop owner buys something it is good practise to get the seller's info and make a copy of their ID and put it with their records that way if any items bought are stolen then the cops know where to look, and charges can be made. But if no report was made and the bow is recovered then there is nothing that the police can do. They can't prove it.

Talk to the police. A report should have been filed when the bow was stolen. Pawn shops do have ways of identifying stolen property, but I don't think they have anyway of doing so unless the get information from the police. However, the police will be your best source and if the pawn shop is knowingly accepting stolen property there will be consequences.

Your SOL. You didn't make a theft report, no case number or picture to the case number you should have had on a police report. The pawn shop owes you nothing, no information, no merchandise back.. nothing. They do not release information.

This guy sounds like serious difficulty. Get a secure practices order from a courtroom and implement it. while you're no longer prepared to report a criminal criticism the police can no longer do lots. The question of the telephone relies upon on if there is something on the telephone nicely worth hectic approximately. the only ingredient i will say for specific is "get faraway from THIS guy in the previous YOU GET harm. telephones can get replaced. hands, AND FACES, ARE lots extra stable AND LIVES on no account.
