Okay, we all know that TV always shows security guards as old retired man sitting in a gatehouse or sat in a hut on a building site or they are younger guys who are "wannabe policemen" and are usually thicker that a plank of wood.

Sadly, in 905 of security, this is true. But there are exeptions.

Consider that since the introduction of licencing, the wannabes and diddery old men are becomming a thing of the past.

Just check your local shooping centre and you will see a professional team of dedicated staff, who are well trained and probably detect more crime than your average bobby.

Since the police no longer routinly attend intruder alarms on buildings, offices factories etc, some companies rely on private security to respond to an activation. That officer has to go and check for intruders, secure premises, preserve evidence and so on.

So come on, lets have a cheer for Security Guards and next time you see one, say thankyou...

Well, I had tickets that stacked high that were not paid for in 2000 from Georgia. I had brought a car from a so-called friend that got me another ticket b/c of the lack of registration. My friend assured me time after time I was going to receiv it. I had to get to work some kind of way from S. Miami to Miramar. I got pulled over, car confiscated, and went to jail for a night all b/c of my friend not giving me final paper work. Now, 2007,I cannot get the vehicle back b/c my so-called friend didnt transfer the title either and I cant reach him. Two weeks later, investigators come on job, regarding a probation and a record in Georgia that I need to take care of that happened in2000. This would have not surfaced if my friend gave me the correct paper work for the vehicle, which caused this.Where do I go to get my record cleared that happened in 2000? Who do I speak to when I go back to Georgia to figure out how to get it cleared?I am out on leave from job.I dont know what to do, pls help!

Credit cards were stolen (among other items) from my vehicle today. Police considering it grand theft for the dollar amount. The sheriff who took the report called me a few minutes ago and asked if I wanted them to dust my car for prints. I told him sure why not but I don't feel like it will ever do any good. I've had so many things stolen and the cops never find it.

When I called to report my credit card stolen they told me someone already tried to use my card twice and two large chain stores (credit card company declined to the high dollar amount/suspicious activity). I mentioned this to the sheriff and he told me to call up the detectives and let them know in the morning. I would assume they got these guys on video. But will they really take the time to investigate?

My g/f's mom had her bank card stolen and cash was stolen from her ATM. She had to pay $500 to have the "tape reviewed" to prove it wasn't her. Doesn't seem right for some reason.

what is the best alibi when dealing with police about marijuana??
if you have marijuana on you should you say you found it on the ground five minutes before or does the obvious bs only make things worse for you? what kinds of things can you say or do to make it harder for them to prosecute you?

what loopholes are there? such as drinking out of a flask in front of a police officer before they're going to alcohol test you (nullifies the test; you can't be prosecuted for drunk driving)

technically it was 1:30 am yesterday morning that i was pulled over for turning right on red where it was not allowed. i was issued two tickets, one for "no turn on red" and the other for driving past midnight on a provisional license. i have a court date set for next month but according to the checkbox next to "court appearance required" i do NOT have to appear in court. several people have told me i have to just go to the court house and pay the fines. (someone also told me i have to make sure they won't mail any paperwork or anything to my house too) if i go tomorrow, which is basically the soonest possible time i could go, will i be able to take care of this matter before my parents hear anything about it? do insurance rates rise for these types of tickets? if it helps, i was pulled over somewhere in monmouth county, nj.

Why do you believe there is such a big shortage in Law enforcement? I think the long hiring process and the dangers of the job are one of the main factors. I do believe that agencies should be more lenient in background investigations. Even if an applicant does have any prior drug use, felonies, or misdemeanors, there are many other factors that contributes to that person getting DQ'd.

Last night I took my dog out to do his business and heard my neighbors having a rather loud discussion. Before I came back inside the fight changes from discussion to loud screams of profanities. I couldn't see what was actually happening but I was worried that the fight was getting out of hand, so I called the police to check the problem out. Next thing I know their house is surrounded by four police cars. I thought that was a little over the top. I unfortunatly don't know my neighbors well and I seem to work opposite shifts then them. They have had loud parties and get togethers and I didn't complain, but this time I was concerned that someone was going to get hurt. I don't think anyone was arrested. After the officers left 45 minutes later everything did seem to quite down and every either left or went to bed. Today the neighbors were out on their porch and they gave me dirty looks, now I am questioning if I did the right thing. What do you think.
