First, you need to be at least 21 years of age. If you would like to be a Special Agent, you must have at least a four year degree from an accredited University or College and some form of credible work experience. If you would like to be a Uniformed Division Officer, you do not need a four year degree.

As a Special Agent, you will most likely start in a field office and work as an Investigator of various types of crimes, i.e. counterfeiting, credit card fraud, bank fraud, etc. before you can bid for a postion on a protective detail. (which usually takes several years)

As a Uniformed Division Officer, you will be stationed in Washington D.C. at one of the numerous "branches" to include the White House. You may be at the Vice Presidents residence or at the Foreign Missions Branch patrolling the area where Diplomatic buildings are located. As a "UD" Officer, there are also several speciality units you can apply for after a few years of service, K-9, Sniper, ERT, etc. You also have the option of testing for promotion to Sergeant and above, just like a normal police department.

Either way, both positions eventually have "risks" due to the threats that the President receives on a daily basis, (not just this one but all Presidents). It is a very rewarding career but it is also VERY demanding. You will work very long hours and in unfavorable conditions, however, it is fun and exciting as well as prestigious. Good luck!

It relies very much on which country your from. America has the FBI, which protects America and the CIA gets info from around the world to stop terror threats. Britain has MI6 which gathers info from around the world that could interest Britain and MI5 gathers info from inside Britain to also stop terror threats. Try going on there websites and get some info. All i know is that using a gun in the British secret service is forbidden and so reduces the risk of being in many gun fights...unfortunately. Howver you could be in many dangerous environments that could be a threat but you are trained as a pro-so the risk level is very low.

God consistently has a plan for you. if he wishes you to enter the name of the game carrier than believe me he's going to discover some way. how i consider approximately that is that within the bible it say thou shalt now not kill and for me that implies any one or something. it isn't important in case your existence is being held at hostage. this can be a sin to kill. but when god has a plan for then you definitely it's the high-quality factor for you. well good fortune and god bless you

Take this test:

Follow the link back to the home page for more info. I imagine if you're filing papers for them, there are few risks. If you are an operative...I imagine it's risky, but I don't really know.
