I'm 18 years old and I live in California. This evening while driving home, I got a speeding ticket. I was doing 75 in a 65.

The cop said it's a "admitting to guilt ticket" and that I have to go to court for something. He was a jerk so he didn't really explain it and had a really bad attitude. I've been pulled over before, but they were all for problems with the car, not speeding.

So, my question is How much will the ticket cost in California?
Should I plead guilty? (I heard that many people don't plead guilty and they get off the hook or something?)
When I plead guilty, can I go to driving school and not have it shown on my record so my insurance doesn't go up?

Any other tips/info. would be very much appreciated.

*** The reason why I was speeding 10 miles above the speed limit was because I'm a hemophiliac and today I did something and so I had a really bad internal bleed. Bleeds that go untreated immediately can have very bad effects in the long run.

My entire life I have wanted a job regarding criminal law. I've always thought I could handle it, I'm graduating in three years and I'm so sure that's what I want to do. Just five minutes ago I was looking at random sites on the internet and I found these two...
http://www.thememoryhole.org/deaths/texas-final-meals.htm
http://www.deadmaneating.com/dmearch.html
...the first really facinated me, and the second just made me sick. I mean these people...they're normal. Sure they've done horrible things and diserve to be punished, but they're PEOPLE. I mean...this is a list of what they last wanted to EAT. And...when I read this it scared me so much. Now I'm thing Criminal Law isn't for me...how the you people handle this? Am I just weak or does everyone feel like this after they read something/ see something like that??

He got 2y to life, and every time he goes in front of the parole board they don`t let him go, his case manager makes it hard for him to get out do you think she is lying and treating him wrongly? I think they can lie because all they want is his money.. Also he has to do classes before he can get out and he has been in for 9 years now.. So he has to fill out a application to do these classes and I spoke to the people and they said he has not don't it ..I know for a fact he has, he has filled out many applications, and he is suppose to be on a waiting list like everyone else. He has filled out the applications to do the class, but they are saying he has not filled it out,, and i myself am a witness . I I saw it with my own eyes (copy) so i know he has. Can the law lie about someone if they don't like him or her?? If he is being treated wrong what can he do besides talking to the fed like i am now? the fed said something is wrong to me personally. 3 3 questions in one Sorry. Hope to get good answers

and no bail was set. I live in michigan so they (HD) had 72 hours to charge me. Well they didn't send a charge or a warrant to the jail/court (or whomever) so I was released after the 72 hours. They told me that it would be under further investigation. Can they still charge me? Will they?

I have NOTHING on my records as this is my first offense. Should I be okay?

Do I just wait for them to contact me or is this over?

Alright, this morning I was pulled over for speeding on my way to my college for my 10:00 class. It was 9:15 and I had plenty of time to get there, but for some reason I ended being at 64 MPH on a 45 road. This sounds lame, but really, I had no idea I was going THAT fast. At most I thought I was going 55, no more. But anyways, I was going downhill and my foot wasn't even on the accelerator. I wasn't paying attention, and all of a sudden I saw a police car coming right towards me. I pulled over and gave him my info...
Now, he gave me a ticket for the speeding. That's not my question. I know what I did was wrong so please don't lecture me on speeding. I have been driving for about 4 yrs now and this is my first speeding ticket.
What I want to know more about is how to possibly reduce it. I know there's no way to get rid of it all together. Since this is my first ticket, how much will this cost me the day I go to court? Roughly. And how much will this affect my insurance?

The police talked to the police in California ( where I live) and did not investigate into the allegations my son made of his father taking pictures of him naked and threatening him that he would burn in hell if he told anyone.
My son talked to police in California whom got me an Emergency Order of Protection. A child psychologist talked to my son also whom filed a suspected child abuse report against his father.

California police talked to police in Alabama whom did NOTHING but arrested me when my 6.5 yr old was not back at his fathers.
CPS of Alabama placed my son with his father and is having a forenic psychologist talk to my son in a week. My sons father knows he is found out about, and I believe will be very manipulative of my child. He (father) was very abuse to me in marriage. I never thought he would be a child molester.
Why would DHR (CPS) even get a psychologist to talk with my son and not remove my son from the home until a thorough investigation has happened.

I was driving the other day and thought I saw the man that attacked me standing on the corner. I kept going, and within a block or so had a major panic attack ... the whole bit, sweating, chest pain, the feeling I needed to run and hide somewhere. I was positive I was dying right then, and of course pulled over right away; I knew there was no way I could drive and my kids were with me too.

The thing is, I thought I'd pulled into the Kroger parking lot, but stupid me was two driveways off and instead I pulled into the parking lot for the fire department. I was sitting there just gripping the wheel and waiting for it to pass when one of them noticed me. A county LEO was there and he wanted me to go to the hospital, but I refused, knowing it would pass, and he was going to arrest me!

The EMT's there convinced him I'd be okay in awhile, and sure enough I was. So my question is, can I be arrested for a mere panic attack? I was no danger to anyone, just needed to stop for a few.

My kids are going to middle school and we live in a not so good neiborhood. Often kids fight, tease etc...while waiting on the school bus. I call school & transportation dept. about what is happening at the bus stop but both seem like don't want to take responsibility. If I tape what the kids are doing at the bus stop and show to the local board of education, I think they will do something to keep kids safe at the bus stop but I'm also worried I might get charged for taping the kids.

A flight attendant was stationed at the departure gate to check tickets. As a man approached, she extended her hand for the ticket and he opened his trench coat and flashed her. Without missing a beat she said, "Sir, I need to see your ticket not your stub."

A lady was picking through the frozen turkeys at the grocery store, but she couldn't find one big enough for her family. She asked a stock boy, "Do these turkeys get any bigger?" The stock boy replied, "No ma'am, they're dead."

The cop got out of his car and the kid who was stopped for speeding rolled down his window. "I've been waiting for you all day," the cop said. The kid replied, "Yeah, well I got here as fast as I could." When the cop finally stopped laughing, he sent the kid on his way without a ticket.

The two year old left by themselves in a locked, windows up SUV by a parent you would think has child welfare on their mind everyday - an educator at a local hight school!!! How do you come to the mind set to think - "Oh its going to be 99 degrees in Cincinnnati today, maybe Jr. can sit for 8 hours in my car" This seems to happen every few days in America, and I never can see what the excuse is. How can you forget a child you "love" is in the car with you when you park to go into work or shopping??? Do you think the death of the child is punishnment enough or should we put these people in jail to maybe ensure no other children are in their care?

I just finished a six year enlistment in the military and I am considering being a corrections officer but honestly I worry about being scared of the inmates. I know that you can't be scared or they will know it. My question is.... is it a terrifying job. I really want to begin a law enforecement career and work on degrees in Forensics and Crime Scene investigation. From the research I have done, corrections officers suffer less work related fatalities than police officers. I'm not afraid of the job..... I'm afraid of being afraid. Any female CO's out there I could use some advice.
