My court date passed and still havent payed my speeding ticket. I am a full-time student, and had to get a job so I can pay it off. It has been 2 weeks, and I plan on paying it within these couple days. Will their be a late fee? Or will the amount still be the same?

not sure which state or how close it was. From what i understand police can only see nearby states and warrants that are made to be visible. If there is a serious, extraditable Felony warrant for someone anywhere in the country would it be noticed by the police at a traffic stop. Please dont try to scare me just by saying yes because you think im guilty and want me to turn myself in. I have actually been working with police to get this all sorted out as i am innocent and i was pulled over just the other day with no incident..i just want to know if that would confirm everythings been settlled..thank u!

does that mean the prosecutors office has already arrested someone, or that their is a warrant for them. is that language used for people who have no kind of warrant or anything but are just being investigated or is it usually for warrants and already arrested. what does "plans to charge" mean?

So here I am sitting in college with tons of free time. I don't go to parties, my friends happen to be at their jobs when I'm not at mine and vise versa, and I think cops are pretty cool so I'd like to devote some of my time as an auxiliary police officer. I'll admit going into police work is something I'm keeping in the back of my head if my other career aspirations don't work out and I just want to give something back to my community (I live at home btw). So, to my question, is it generally easy to become an auxilary officer for a local department? And also, what is the hiring process like?

Is it fair to get a ticket for driving without your headlights on? Should you recieve a warning ticket for that? And also, can you get a ticket for driving someone else's car, even if they're sitting next to you, and they have full coverage insurance?

The phone was ringing and he told my friend i wasnt home and i was all like: "dont hang up im home!!" and he was all like 'f you' and then he punched my face (i have really sensitive skin and it will bruise)and my mom was standing right there in the middle of it and didnt do anything.

SHE NEVER DOES ANYTHING WHEN HE PHYSICALLY HURTS ME!! I dont want to call the police because i have enough to do with them with custody issues but i think he needs anger management?

he always beats on me when his life is going wrong which it always is, and he is way the hell bigger than me and older by only one year. What can i do about this? I'm serious about this, i feel like my life is in danger and there is no one out there to help me. My mom just shrugged it off, thats it and my face is frikkin stinging!!

WHAT CAN I DO? WHO can i get to come see him, im serious he has problems and i dont know why he takes his problems out on me but its horrible its like living in an abusive, negative hell

I just want to know if the Philadelphia Police Academy a lot like boot camp? I know there will be some intense moments of course. My mom has been on the force for 13 yrs., and a lot has changed since then. Is there anyone who has completed the academy within the last 5 yrs. who can elaborate more on what the training consists of.
Thank you.

I just wondered if anyone on here were police officers and how your chief would feel if you dated a co-worker or a magistrate and the police officer was married...is this really ethical and how can they put you in jail when they are out in public having sex and he is in his uniform, even though they are in a vehicle

i want to know the procedure of what the cop does and how he does it.

a short cop about 5'6'' driving on the street, sees a truck speeding, the truck is customly lifted to look like a monster truck and it has big wheels and tires. the cop pulls him over, obviously the cop's head doesnt reach the driver's window, how does the short cop get the speeder's license and insurance card? or even find out if he has his seatbelt on? or even if the guy has a weapon on his lap or hand? does he ask the driver to step out of the vehicle? if the windows are tinted, how does he find out if there are more people in the back seat?

this goes out to short female cops as well.

This is a rhetorical question of course because an opinion, even mine, is neither right nor wrong. It's simply an opinion.

I am interested in knowing what others think.

I am a dog lover. I have owned several. However, I believe that a crime against humanity {rape, murder, child molesting etc ...} is far more egregious than dog fighting and the brutality to animals that is involved in that sport.

I’m just wondering what you think.

In this case I am talking about a building inspector. If his job is to enforce codes, and he doesn't do it, who is it that busts HIM for not obeying the law that gave him that responsibility? In this instance there is a building that has no certificate of occupancy, and isn't even finished, but it belongs to his friend, so he is allowing the friend to live there even though the building violates codes.

A friend of mine is 18 years old, and her boyfriend is 17, almost 18 (in December), and we all live in Ohio. They have been together for about 6 months now. They both talked to the boyfriend's mother about having sex, and she is apparently OK with it. Since this guy is so close to being 18 (in December), if they have sex, and his mother is ok with it, can my friend get in trouble for it?

As ignorance of the law is no defence, don't you find it scary that apart from the thousands of old criminal offences that we don't know about, there are now 3000 new ones. It is impossible for anyone to know what they are, so anybody could get arrested at anytime without having the faintest idea that they broke the law. What do you think some of these new criminal offences are?

I have an envelope I received in the mail that I haven't yet opened, and I would like to find out who sent it to me by having it fingerprinted. I have a few questions:

1. Can this work? Is this the type of thing that fingerprinting can be used for? I know it's probably not possible to take fingerprints from the outside, since I touched it and the mailman touched it, but can I get fingerprints from the inside?

2. How much would it cost? This is a VERY important case, so I am willing to pay and money isn't an issue, but I would like a rough idea.

3. If they can get fingerprints, how would they find the person? Is there some sort of database to compare to?

Please only answer if you are familiar with these things. Thanks.

is it possible for a person to be arrested in oakland county but there is no record of them being arrested.Im from Michigan. I am aware that he had other warrants for him in different counties. But each place I have contacted has no record of him being there. How could I access a larger database that would know his whereabouts as it is clear that he is no where in the surrounding counties. He is not even in the county where he owes child support yet, which is Wayne. What is the procedure? Is this a usual situation, and what can I do to locate him?

He's 18, so this will be on his record. Would you do it. My husband and I are thinking we should but are very scepticle. What would you do?
