not sure which state or how close it was. From what i understand police can only see nearby states and warrants that are made to be visible. If there is a serious, extraditable Felony warrant for someone anywhere in the country would it be noticed by the police at a traffic stop. Please dont try to scare me just by saying yes because you think im guilty and want me to turn myself in. I have actually been working with police to get this all sorted out as i am innocent and i was pulled over just the other day with no incident..i just want to know if that would confirm everythings been settlled..thank u!

all warrants go into a federal data base called NCIC. if you have a warrant for parking tickets in florida and you are pulled over in NY it will show up.

here is the deal though. if it is not serious like a traffic ticket or something like that most departments that issued the warrant will not go very far to extradite. if it is erious they might extradite depending on how serious.

This means if you are in NY and warrant is in florida they are not going to extradite you.

The problem you run into is unless the warrant itself states they wont extradite the police that pulled you over will take you to jail until they get confirmation on the other departments intent to extradite.

Some warrants are issued with where they will extradite from if this is the case then they wont take you in.

example you got a warrant in NC the warrant might say on it will only extradite from NC SC GA VA if you are not in one of these states they will not hold you.

Hope that helps

It all depends on whether the agency that has the warrant has entered the information into NCIC. If they have, and they are across the country from you, it will depend on whether they want to spend the time and energy to extradite you. That would depend on what the warrant is for. If you were pulled over the other day and not arrested it either means that your warrant is not in NCIC (the agency may have a warrant out for you, but didn't enter it), the dispatcher didn't check NCIC, or the agency that has the warrant has a extradition limit that was exceeded. Not being arrested on a traffic stop for that warrant doesn't mean it's no longer active. You still need to verify with that agency whether or not they have an active warrant for you.

Yes. They run checks through NCIC and your name will pop right up. They will take you into custody and put you in jail until a decision is made by a judge whether or not to extradite you. If you are truly working with the police to work this out you should have no problem explaining that after they bring you in. I doubt very much that since you have already found you guilty of a felony that they will agree with you about being innocent since you were already found guilty of a felony. Get an attorney and have them contact the police. In the mean time don't drive if you think you are going to be stopped. Make sure you talk to an attorney ASAP!!! Waiting may just make it harder on you.

In principle, it should show up. There are two reasons why it might not:

1. They neglected to enter it into NCIC for some reason.
2. They never accused you of anything (which is very likely considering you don't know what state it was)

Even if it does show up, doesn't mean that they will extradite you. Extradition is expensive and usually reserved only for the most violent cases.

particular, as long by way of fact the warrant has been entered into the national criminal suggestions middle. In Florida, all the officer has to do is administered your driving force's license and the 'needed persons' verify is immediately performed. Dispatch will get carry of a message on their workstation which you're needed, then they determine it with the entering company. If the entering company will extradite (come get you), then off to penitentiary you bypass. If no longer, then you definately are loose to bypass and could bump into this lower back the subsequent time you run into the police. (no longer you individually...yet anybody regularly with a warrant) **All warrants will show up in NCIC, even misdemeanor warrants for valueless exams!

They probably didn't check or it has yet to be put in the system. If you are charged with a felony you will most likely be taken into custody if the office knows about it.

If you are working with the police on it, they may not have put the warrant in the database or there may not be a warrant yet. They may still be in the investigation phase.

If you have a warrant it is seen by every state in America. There is a computer system called NCIC and everyone's name is ran through this system to check for what we call wants and warrants.
