i want to know the procedure of what the cop does and how he does it.

a short cop about 5'6'' driving on the street, sees a truck speeding, the truck is customly lifted to look like a monster truck and it has big wheels and tires. the cop pulls him over, obviously the cop's head doesnt reach the driver's window, how does the short cop get the speeder's license and insurance card? or even find out if he has his seatbelt on? or even if the guy has a weapon on his lap or hand? does he ask the driver to step out of the vehicle? if the windows are tinted, how does he find out if there are more people in the back seat?

this goes out to short female cops as well.

You answered it your self. Have the driver step out. With the truck you are describing, a 6 ft tall cop would have the same difficulites. When a 100 lb 5 ft 4 female cop pulls a gun on a suspect, she is just as deadly as a 6 ft tall cop and has a great advantage. She is a smaller target to shoot at. A smart cop is better than a large obese cop.

In most cases truck drivers are very cooperative and do as advised. When first approaching the truck the driver is asked to open the door and step out. He is then asked if anyone else is in the vehicle. If so they are told to come out. He is asked to show all of the necessary documents and his cab may be searched if there is probable cause or suspicion. Keep in mind that most truck drivers are working for a company, and are on the up and up. Even after all this, it could be a dangerous situation if the driver has other intentions. This is the risk that police officers take every single day, whether it is a truck or not. They never know what they are approaching when they step out of their vehicle. It is a risk that they choose to take every day to keep the community safe! I hope this helped!!!!

I agree with you 100%. Anyone who thinks that you're out to "get them" or to do harm to others because you enjoy driving your truck (that you have worked hard for) is paranoid, arrogant and self-righteous. These are the same people that try to tell everyone else how to live, as if they are the only ones who know what's "right". I know exactly how you feel, I used to drive a Corvette convertible and once a person saw me driving in a parking lot and said "it's all about you", I said "yes, it is" and shut him up. Go for it, enjoy your truck and do your best to ignore these people. Who has the right to say that your truck is too big, dangerous or self-serving. It's your truck, you bought and paid for it and you have the right to drive it anywhere and enjoy it to the fullest. Best of luck.

The same way a 7 foot tall COP does.

Many SUV's that are lifted are too high for a 7 foot COP to see properly into - definitely cannot see the lap of the driver.

Good Luck.

He calls in his 7ft 3 back up, no really it is the same stop. How many of these vehicles are on the roads...3 in the entire USA...I think the cops can cover them.

The same way any other Police Officer would. FYI, those types of vehicles are not allowed on the street.
