Is it fair to get a ticket for driving without your headlights on? Should you recieve a warning ticket for that? And also, can you get a ticket for driving someone else's car, even if they're sitting next to you, and they have full coverage insurance?

they should have given you a warning, but they were within the law to ticket you for it.

if the owners insurance covered you then you did nothing wrong if it doesnt then you are operating without insurance and actually the person who owns the car can actually be sited for allowing an unisured person to drive their car some insurance doesnt cover other drivers some only covers other drivers over a certian age

Life is not fair. Get over it. If life were really fair, do you really think some Neadrathal like Dick Cheney would ever make it to be VP?

As far as the headlight, you deserved the ticket. If you are smart enough to start the vehicle, you should be smart enough to turn on the headlights. Next you will be telling me that you don't turn on your windshield wipers in a heavy rainstorm.

Insurance usually follows the car. As long as you can prove that the car is insured, you are usually alright.

Yes. You can get a ticket for any of those things.

No one "deserves" a warning for an offense, though you might get one anyway.

Also, you are charged with the legality of the vehicle you are driving, even if you don't own it and even if the owner is in the vehicle with you.
