Just a shame that a firearms license from one State may not be honored in another.
A right the people barred the the federal gov't from infringing upon in the constitution is not as honored as a drvivers license.
Odd huh?

Yes, you have a vaid state driver's license. The law you are talking about affects only perople in NJ from getting their license until 17. All valid out of state licenses are valid for drive throughout the U.S.

you have to take a drivers ed course, and then you have to do atleast 6 hours of driving before you turn 16. then when you turn 16 you take a driving test thing and can get your permit, which you have for a year until you can attempt to get your liscence. i'm from new jersey and won't get my permit until february also.

Yes you can.
Like the others said, if you get your license in one state, it's recognized in other states. So you have no problem there.

You cannot drive in New Jersey because your license is only authorized in your state.

it is legal for you to drive in that state as long as your drivers liscence is valid from whatever state its from. as long as you dont break any laws, you should be fine.
