Ok, lets try this again. I just posted this, but then like a fool had to show my backside and respond to someone with an unitelligent answer.

Thank you to all law enforcement officers for keeping my family safe. Thank you for putting your life at risk each and every time you wear your uniform (and sometimes even when not in uniform.) Thank you for enforcing the laws that are put in place for a reason. Thank you for being the one brave enough to protect all, even the ones that want to bad mouth you until they need you. Thank you for being an inspiration to my children (both want to be LEO's). Thank you for doing what you do.

No question, just wanting to thank all the brave men and women putting their lives on the line daily. And doing it with a smile on their faces. Basically because I was sick of all the LEO bashing on here.

I think combination of ME SOCIETY and how Yahoo Answers is structured, it attacts a lot of questions of a similar format:

I mucked up really seriously, and the police gave me a ticket, or I have to go to court to face the consequences ... PULEZZE someone tell me how I can escape society's punishment for the kind of dirt bags that did what I did?

Except the way the question is phrased, you'd think they think it is Ok for them to function in society without a care for anyone else, that everyone else should take accountability for their actions, but not them. So they need suggestions how to get out of the mess, and are not interested in answers how to avoid getting into the mess in the first place.

Incidentally, I used Atlas of Best Places in America to Live to help select where I would go on job interviews ... I did this decades ago, and I now live in one of the lowest crime corners of the nation. Evansville Indiana got that way through several actions ... I really do not understand why other cities don't do the same kinds of things to build a professional police force, and a set of rules to help the citizenry behave in a responsible manner.

Evansville is a DAMP county ... that means liquor is legal, but not a lot of people buy it. I have been in DRY counties ... the people there tend to be extremely intolerant. I have been in WET counties ... drunk driving is like an epidemic. But here it is DAMP ... the people not intolerant, and not reckless, although it is far form perfect.

Thank you for posting this "thank you" to all Law Enforcement Officers.

For those who felt there needed to be a question, get over it.

Every once in awhile it is nice to just hear praise, and not have to listen to all the negative issues that people bring up.

I value our Law Enforcement Officers, I feel blessed to be protected and know that when I call, they are there to help, protect and do what ever they can.

Bad apples, sure there are always a few, but why would a few sour every pie? Just like people on YA - a few pain in the patootie's but mostly good people.

Your still showing your backside. Not only do you have unintelligent answers you don't even know how to ask a question.

I hope your refering to the 3 of 10 LEO's that are actually honest.

The thumbs down equate to the old saying "the truth hurts". I speak the truth and my nose isnt brown. No one should respect those with a degree in creative imagination and the nifongs of this world.
