I don't think they would use deadly force, but I bet you would wish you were dead, especially after years in St. E's. Oh and what's with using SS as an abbreviation for The Secret Service, SS has a negative connotation. I guess you will be a resident of Saint E's (or whatever replaces it) at some point in time. Have fun!

Assault, battery at least. There may also be a much more severe federal charge and you can bet the SS will give a good beat down. Deadly force, I don't think so unless they thought you might have a gun, knife, or otherwise were able to inflict deadly harm.

No, the SS cannot use deadly force in this case. The use of deadly force can only be used against the threat of deadly force. They can beat the hell of him, but cannot use guns on him.

If someone got close enough to punch the President some Secret Service Agents should lose their jobs.

No, deadly force could not be used in this instance. Deadly force is used only if there is a threat of life being taken. Charge would be assault.

If you TRIED to punch the President, you would be lucky to get away with a broken arm...more likely there would be no need for a charge, since you would be a corpse.

No unknown person would be allowed close enough to the President for this to happen.
Anyone who would try would be stopped with what ever force is necessary, including terminating the transgressor.

Well at the very least it would be a battery (if you did it in KS). I think you would be taken down well before you got to the president. The secret service agents do have a broad discretion. I don't think they shoot every one.

A simple battery is a misdemeanor and would have a fine, up to 30 days jail and court costs. Not worth it really. Just vote better next time.

The Secret Service is authorized to use what ever force they feel is correct. When Reagan was shot, they subdued the perp without killing him.
