Im doing some research on a couple of cases.I have a few questions to those who might know the answers. What does it mean when a revocation hearing is dismissed? if the outcome to a revocation hearing is "final" what does that mean? Also if a waiver of extradition is signed what is that? thanks for your help if you can..

I am a 17 yr old female, 18 in less than a month. I have gotten into a lot of trouble all through my teens. When I was 13 I ran away from home, shoplifted, and spent a bit of time in juvie. When I was 15 I was arrested for having a house party when my parents weren't there and the house got trashed. Then at 16 I was arrested again for selling pot to kids at school, i did 6 months in juvie because of it. Now I got myself into even more trouble, I went with a friend and broke into a neighbors home and stole some jewelry and stuff and was caught in the act cuz someone saw us and called the police. I know I seem like a terrible person i don't know why i do these things, but now I know i have to live up to my actions and i'm ready to learn my lesson and spend jail time if i have to. Someone said since my birthday is in less than a month i will be tried and as adult and i want to know if this is true, and if so how much time do you think i will spend? Just seeking advice, not sympathy.

I have approximately 4 years with security experience, 3 1/2 years in the army (Infantry/Honorable Discharge) along with a tour in Iraq, and about 30 college credits (from 4 years ago) towards a law enforcement degree (MINN AS), I've been told by a cop friend of mine that the state of WI doesn't require a person to posess a degree to be employed as a law enforcement officer. I would like to gain some first hand experience (not reserves or ride-alongs) to see if it's something I'm really wanting to do and spend my GI Bill on.

I think we should record and then televise every execution in America. We can have a snazy commentator, like on Cops, explain the crime they were convicted. Then we can do a pre-execution interview with the condemned. Then we'll do a closeup of the entire process by which the condemned is made to pay for their crime.

Then we'll find out if Americans are really so enamoured of capital punishment or not. Heck...the show would be cheap and it might really rock in the ratings. Or we'll be sickened by the whole process and end this barbaric practice.

This is my friend's situation...
She's 16 years old, just got her first speeding ticket. She was doing 32 over in a 70. She's never had a traffic violation or any other run in with the law. This is supposed to be 6 points on her liscense which means they take it away. A friend's dad's lawyer says for $500 he can represent her in court and get the points reduced. But won't the ticket still appear on her parent's insurance? And is it really likely to get this reduced? the cop was pretty mean and claimed she didn't get over fast enough.
She CAN'T tell her parents or they will ship her to boarding school 'cause she's screwed up before. Telling them is really NOT an option. Anyone have any words of advice???
