Im doing some research on a couple of cases.I have a few questions to those who might know the answers. What does it mean when a revocation hearing is dismissed? if the outcome to a revocation hearing is "final" what does that mean? Also if a waiver of extradition is signed what is that? thanks for your help if you can..

If a revocation hearing is dismissed it means that an officer did not properly file the paperwork set forth by the state for notice of DL suspension.

If the outcome is final it is exactly what it states. It means there will be no more continuances or extensions filed in the case. If the judge ordered your DL suspended its suspended.

Extradition... if a wavier is signed that means the originating agency or court has decided that a person will not be transported from outside the confines of a certain area. Example its not uncommon for a judge to issue a warrant but not allow extradition. Basically if the guys is caught in the same county where it was issued he is brought to jail, if he is outside that county they let the originating county know they have the person but they will not arrest if they are not willing to come get him.

Revocation hearing: This were the court will decide if your driver's license will be revoked. If the hearing is "dismissed" or canceled, it simply means that for some reason a hearing was not necessary.

Final: Means that a decision was made and either the license was suspended or it was not. In any event no other action will take place.

Extradition: Means you violated a law in one state but are now in another. If the other state wants you to return to them for trial, and you don't want to, that state must extradite you. It is a formal process, sometimes involving the Governors of both states, in which one state requests the permission of the other state to force you to return for trial.

The Waiver: means you have decided to return to the other state on your own and you sign a document waving your right to fight extradition.

Hope that helps.

A revocation hearing is done to either revoke bail because the offender violated or for probation and/or parole, again because a violation has occurred. A revocation is usually final unless the offender can prove mitigating circumstances cause the revocation then it is at the mercy of the court. A Waiver of Extradition is a legal document that is signed to state that you will not fight being sent ot another state or jurisdiction to answer charges.

Revocation hearing is dismissed if no evidence is presented to support the case or the plaintiff failed to prosecute the case.

The decision of the case is final when no appeal is filed within the required period.

Waiver of extradition that is signed means that the person has surredered all his rights to question the extradition.
