Because drugs kill people? No, I think you will find that guns kill people (that is what a hand gun is designed to do it's not for hunting and pretty useless in most war situations too) so why is it that you can easily buy a gun in the US of A but if they catch you with a bit of weed they want to lock you up? In fact, in many states if they catch you smoking mary jane three times then they will give you a life sentence.

Go out and buy a kalashnikov? No problem.

Before the ban there had been two tragic incidents, Hungerford and Dunblane, both preventable if the Police had done their job properly. Both perpetrators had been known to the Police as unsuitable to own firearms (they both held legal firearm certificates). Within months of the second incident (Dunblane) why did gun crime start to rise in the UK?

I don't think they should've, and if they tried it would have failed. This question is geared more towards the people who believe Virginia Tech should've been put on lock down after the first shooting on Monday. Are these same people going to be equally as vocal about the fact that thousands of acres of Houston were not put on lock down while a murderer was on the loose, or will they realize how impossible that really is to do?

This is pertaining investigation reports not convictions.
If a police dept is conducting an investigation, lets say an internet sting on possible online predators, will it report all its findings to the FBI or only those that are being investigated that cross state lines.
another example would be investigations on a possible drug dealer, do they only report the suspect to the FBI when he/she crosses state lines?

Today I just give 350.00 for state police. then tomorrow local police call for 250.00. Then fire dept calls, FBI calls for support. I am running a small business. Sometimes, I don't give them the support because I don't feel it right. They get mad and slamp the phone. I am not sure if they are doing the right thing. Because we are all paying taxes.

200 plus rounds of ammo discharged over a 3hr period, with a handgun??
After listening to you Americans wa*k on about protecting your 'stupid' gun laws and the need to be armed to protect etc.....what good is all that 'hooprah' if an untrained 'student' of all things can wreak that much havoc for so long and virtually unchecked?
This is not a shot at Americans valour as the taking down of the flight in Washington(!?) during 9/11 is an inspiring story of courage.
Your thoughts please America?

I'm going down the main street and there is this guy we see. He is going out of the resident neighbor hood. He attempts to stop but once we are 10 feet away from him he tries to turn right away. This crash happened on the border of two cities. The cop from the other city says that we should pull up on the fast food restaurant. We wait 30 min until the other cop comes. He spends only 30 seconds talking to me. He talks to the guy i crashed for like 5 min. BTW the man was like a foreign guy that was from Jamaica or something. He tries to make it look like it's our fault by checking his car over and over again like we messed up. At the end the , the cop says that we rear ended him. Should i sue?

A friend I know had committed an act of child molestation at age 15. He improperly touched the boy, who was age 7 at the time. The boy recented revealed what occured to him and my friend (who is now 25) has been locked up with no bail.

Now, by no means do I support what this idiot did! However, he was 15 at the time and 10 years has passed. Is their some sort of statute of limitations on this and if not, what's that maximum penalty he could get?

A couple of nights ago,a friend of mine was pulled over by our local City Marshall, after leaving my house. When my friend asked WHY he had been stopped,The Officer told him,in no uncertain terms ,that it was because he had just left a "METH HOUSE"(not a SUSPECTED meth house-he stated this as if it were FACT).When my friend informed the officer that he was misinformed and that no activity of this nature was taking place at my home,The Chief went on to say that, not only do I(and he identified me by my FULL-first and last-name)USE and SELL meth,I MANUFACTURE the drug, also!I am 39 yrs. old,and have NO criminal record;I will admit,I am no angel, but,I DO NOT sell, and don't have the slightest idea how to MAKE methamphetamines!I understand that this may be some sort of tactic the police use to try to get information about someone when all they have is speculation, but isn't it unlawful to defame a person's character with NO evidence(as I said, other than speculation)as to it's truthfullness?

Police corruption is the worst crime of all because it promotes all other crime by example and hinders investigations because sometimes they are too busy breaking the law or covering up to enforce the law.

A few weeks ago I was pulled over for going 86 in a 55. When the officer first approached my car he told me I was going 86, however when he came back with my ticket he had written 87. I asked him to clarify and he changed his copy of the ticket to read 86 however my copy remained saying 87. I have checked the status of my ticket online and in fact it does say 86. I have heard that this might cause the judge to throw out all the charges. Is this true?
