The warrant will always be there. What could happen is since you're no longer a minor, you still could be tried as one.

No. If you are 18, but there is still a warrant for you from when you were 16, you can still be arrested and brought to court for it.
Deal with the warrant. It's way more of a hassle if you do not. If the warrant is for something serious, get an attorney.

No. A warrant remains active until served or withdrawn. Age does not play a factor in determining whether to withdraw a warrant.
In fact, I had a friend who was arrested when he turned 18. It was on a warrant that was issued when he was 13. He was even extradited from Illinois to Arizona, spent 8 months in jail, and is currently on probation through Interstate Compact in Illinois.
Statutes of limitations don't apply to warrants, as they already know the crime and who the suspected offender is. A warrant will even be issued in order to avoid running into an issue with a statute of limitations (even if it means issuing a warrant for a person unknown who has a certain DNA profile).

No, it means you will be arrested as a adult, instead of arrested as a minor, so turn yourself in before you turn 18

Nope. It stays active the rest of your life. You should turn yourself in prior to your 18th birthday to save yourself some hassle as an adult.
