No, but if you're wearing a US military uniform, you could be disciplined for "public display of affection".

(You should tell us what country you're in. I'm assuming you're American.)

No, but the good place to kiss is in...

A theater is a very non-threatening place and he will not think you are going to jump his bones right then and there...which you shouldn't be doing directly following the first kiss anyways. But, since you are both probably a little nervous, the darkness of the theater will not show nerves and is kind of romantic when you look at his to see the light on his face.

There is no right or wrong place for a first kiss...it just depends on the mood and if it's the right time. You will know when the connection is there.

Good Luck!

Public displays of affection will possibly violate public obscenity laws, which pretty much exist in all countries. Since our society isn't used to PDAs, even a simple romantic kiss could be interpreted as public obscenity and the police can make an arrest. Plus, the police gets its incentives from making arrests, so your PDA could pretty much be used as an excuse. Mind you, even married couple aren't particularly advised to do PDAs in India. PS: People in India do PDAs all the time. Just go to secluded place and do everything you want. There's nothing wrong in renting a hotel room and doing it. :)

How much trouble one can get into depends upon where the public place is and what one is kissing. Just ask Monica Lewinski.

Some countries just cannot stand peoples kissing in the public. But very strange - if the action is short peoples usually will not get prosecuted. Note: Do not try this in Muslim countries please.

In some towns yes, only because it is some old law that hasn't been removed yet. Some towns still have laws about how long you can kiss and where you can kiss.

I think it could be an old law that no one enforces anymore. It depends on what city you live. I doubt any police would violate you on this and if it was , a judge would throw it out. Sometimes politicians are to lazy to rewrite outdated laws.
