If we stopped putting the murderers in prison we would have enough money to buy every man women and child a boat. but that would not be so smart now would it.

And if we stop the war on drugs and put an end to the police, who will fight the explosion in violent crime that will follow? The military? I don't think so. And if the the $$ is used to rehab addicts, where will the additional $$ come from that will be needed to treat the explosion in the number of addicts? Get real. The police are a necessary part of life, even if you don't like them.

I would vote to end our "War on Drugs!". It's done nothing but overburden our prisons and create more unemployable citizens who turn to crime after they get out, because that is about the only choice they have. Not to mention the fact that it has not reduced the demand for drugs.
Our country needs education, not incarceration. I am not saying that we can eradicate drug use, but we could certainly cut demand drastically. If we treat the underlying causes of drug use, not just the physical addiction, we can help make strong individuals who have a lot to offer our country.

But if we did that the police would not be able to frame people by putting drugs in their car. They'd have to kill somebody and stuff the body in the trunk. Too messy, and they might get hurt if the guy fought back.
America has enough real enemies without demonizing millions of patriotic Americans who love this country and would love to help America defeat our real enemies.

Just throw $$$ at the problem. It's worked well in the education system. The union is taking good care of ALL that money. Just like the auto industry.

Who invented meth? That stuff can age you years! It's sad. The after affects, if they survive. Something needs to be done.

If the addicts were sent to Iraq, we could solve two problems at once.
