I don't know where the term came from. I am willing to best no one got a ticket for saying 'oink oink'. That may have influenced the officers decision to issue a ticket for whatever he caused the stop.

It a term of endearment given the those police officers who entertain the wives other those ottering the phrase "Oink Oink"

I find that odd. just to say oink oink is not a crime. It is ones right to freedom of speech and expression. that ticket should not hold up in a court of law.

no one got a ticket for saying "oink oink," it's not harrassment to the police either. We get cursed at on a daily basis, we deal with it, and we dont take it personally.

I think it started in the 1960s hippie movement when anything representing the "capitalist pigs" (all government) were also labeled "pigs". Since police officers are the most visible hand of government and usually deal with people in a negative manner. They, above all, were labeled "pigs". I find it amusing when people call me this today.

I'm not sure where the term came from, but when I worked in a deli in a grocery store on of the local cops used to come in for lunch a lot and we would pick on each other. One time when he came up to the deli counter I said "Oh, there you are. I thought I smelled bacon." He thought it was funny.
