My boyfriend's car broke down and I'm picking him up on my way home from work to bring him to the liquor store so he can get him and his buddies some beer. Problem is, I don't turn 21 until next month so technically I'm underage. Will either of us get in trouble for me driving him there and him transporting the drinks in my car back to his place?

As long as there is someone over 21 to claim ownership of the beer, and it is not opened, you are fine. No laws will be broken.

You , being underage , will definitely be illegal and would cause a lot of trouble and expenses with lawyer and court fees and will be on your record and will prevent you from renting , jobs , etc . . .
If he can afford alcohol then he can afford a taxi .
If you have a boyfriend that does not care about involving you in an imbroglio with the law then you might want to re-evaluate yours and his relationship .
If you are arrested you will always look at him as the reason you got into so much trouble and it will definitely harm your relationship ; is he worth it ?
Please take care and have a happy and safe New Year's holiday ! :0)

No. Only the obvious drinking underage, open container or purchasing it underage will get you into trouble. Good thing to ask though. Kudos~

I agree if you have any kind of alcohol have it in the trunk, but there should be no problem if you're driving as long as there is someone over the age of 21 in the car. Actually even if you didnt have anyone over the age of 21 in your car there should be no problem. I mean as long as the bottles aren't open.

Put the booze in the trunk of your car and obey all traffic laws on the way back.
