i got accused of running a traffic light and colliding with a vehicle at the junction. a witness said i went through the light. as far as i was aware the light was green when i went through it. The police siad i could be charged for a traffic offence of 3 points and 60pounds fine for going through a red light. this APEC meeting in sydney (population approx 4 million) this weekend is going to cost around $500 million AUS and approx $150 million AUS in security why don't they just have a video conference which would cost like $1000 all up or just have it on an island and get the navy to patrol it and not have it in the most likley terrorist target in Australia both of these would be cheaper and be easier to monitor to prevent terrorist attack
and yes i know that it is more than one question/statement

Why are the british blaming the Americans for the total **** up in Iraq. Are we not an independant soverign state. The reason Blair decided to send troops to Iraq was that he thought along with simpleton Bush that it would be an easy victory and that he would be bathed in glory and the world would kiss his *** and tell him how f**king wonderful he was.He could have told Bush to sod off but didnt. The majority of the British population backed this ******** and now its gone **** up they do the usual british thing and blame somebody else for their **** up.Britain went into this war of its own free will and because the people of Iraq dont fight fair (they dont have tanks planes helicopters but plenty of courage)and are kicking the **** out of us we blame America.Get real you whining bastards with a bit of luck we might learn a lesson

Doesn't that evidence that he was wrong in rushing into war and that he learned a hard lesson from all the chaos we see nowadays?

Have you noticed, any small amount of progress that he makes such as the case with Anbar province, he acts as if its a victory and a turning point in the war. Well...its not. This is no milestone and we are far from winning anything. Even if the surge works, we will have to stay there indefinetly cause the Iraqis have no way of fending for themselves. They need at least 5 years before they can get up to speed in managing the present scenario.

As a Canadian, I think Hong Kong government is too greedy for the tactics to levy the tax revenue other than the said intent of protecting the Hong Kong environment. The real Canadian Super Store charge for 3 Can cents for a plastic bag on customers' request. How come Hong Kong government elegible to tax on the plastic bags? Is this their greed intent for raising 2 billion HK dollars to pay their overpaid civil servants? I definitely think so. Real Canadian Super Store is a very competitive in their selling products. They are entitled to charge three cents for a plastic bag. But Hong Kong government is just god damned greedy! No one wanted to pay it. I personal think that Hong Kong civil servants are overpaid and under worked. Why the hack they deserved a pay raise? Is it because Donald Tsang raised his alreay overpaid salary by 60k plus 30k allowance?

I frequently rent/lease cars and property in the UK and whenever I rent something I always have to sign all pages in the Terms and Conditions. I recently rented a car and after my rental the car hire company want to apply an administration charge which is not on my signed Terms and Conditions. They are citing a clause in my signed terms and conditions that I agree to any other terms and conditions the company may impose. Can they legally do this and is it enforceable?

How do I report email fraud in the UK?

I'm looking for a place to rent but I'm getting a lot of fairly legitmate looking emails about non-existent places to rent. They include real information like actual address and photos.

People could easily become victims of this and post off a deposit (and never hear of the apartment again)

What email address can I forward these to in the UK?

Today's news shows that if children are found roaming the streets while they've been excluded from school, their parents can be fined up to £1,000:

Do you think this is right? What other ways can be used to build a better partnership between parents and children, in order to prevent them from going out while they've been excluded?

It happened a few days ago that Hong Kong policemen were accused for the claimed sex services without paying the hookers or the pimps. To day's headlines (in Oriental Daily news, Chinese edition) accused the policemen of the Hong Kong motor vehicle branch extored cash from drivers by staging crashes by ramming the their car into the vehicle from the rear. They conned almost HK $ 26,000 by this conspiracy defraud. They had made 19 man-made accidents by crashing into12 taxis, one small van, and six sedans. These man-made accidents were begin in June 1, 2005 to February 2006. What a city of Hong Kong it is? They threatened the drivers for cash compensation and all of the victims paid the cashes for avoiding the troubles. I personal opinion that Hong Kong civil servants are soiled for extra high paying salaries, least work, highest pension fund in this world. The sinful Hong Kong chief executive raised his alredy overpaid salary by HK $ 430k per month, four times as Bill Clinton made.

Is it illegal to have that many syringes at home?
These syringes will not be for illegal use.
Could the cops search the house and arrest the owner and charge him?

I keep reading and hearing how the laws are there to "protect" me and keep me safe, etc. Yet, in many, if not all, situations the "criminal's" rights are always the focus of concern rather than the victims' rights...even if the crime is caught on tape. If I attempt to fight back, I become the "bad" guy. Of course, I suppose protecting a corpse is infinately easier than protecting the living.

I guess I should simply wave a copy of the law at a person attacking me for protection...right? Think that'll work?

Honeslty, i start the the premise of this argument. You can argue the case of Iraq's hands being tied to terror, more directly 911 and surely you can make the case that we shouldn't have gone into Iraq.

However............regardless the war has become a battleground of different sorts. In Vietnam it was an isolated view, we feared the success of communism, and when we went in Russia and other communist factions didn't make it a battleground against the USA/Freedom.

In Iraq however, every wave of anti-sentiment, every resource of Al Queada and others have made this the cover of their agenda. They will forever use this as a defeat to our country if we fail. Furthermore, it isin't the same war, we knew it was too big of a risk to have Hussein in charge, he utlimately hated the USA over the previous Gulf War and would trade with terrorists if it meant harm/financial gain to himself. WAKE up people.

Do not* try and compare these wars, why is it you do?

I am a european who try to set up an investor's visa in USA. I have an american business bank account. A lawyer told me that it's illegal to earn money without hiring an american person. But I want to hire when I have enough work for him, not before. My business is a web site where people will pay using Paypal. Can I start to work alone and people will pay me using Paypal, then I won't transfer the money from my paypal account to my business bank account, until I hire 1 person. This way, technically, I won't earn money on my american business bank account but I will develop my activity. Is this possible?
