Ok, so I dont mean people dont have rights. I just think that parents should be able to slap their kids, police should be able to clip cheeky youngsters around the ear, and criminals should go to a proper prison with no creature comforts and stay there for a while. Lets show people that their actions will have recriminations and perhaps they will think twice. All the do gooders who come on and disagree; you are to blame for the crime ridden respect free society we live in.

Have just read an answer which claims that TV was invnted by an American in 1927. I checked his source and there it is in black and white. That would be fine but Logie Baird gave the first demonstration of it in 1924. I don't think this is an isolated case either.

this saturday the bush admin. plans to open the NAFTA super highway. mexican truckers will be everywhere!! unregulated!!
currently outside truckers are allowed within 50 miles of our border for three days. under this new highway they will be allowed unlimited acess to our country for 3 months. no insurance, destroying our infastructure, and illigal. ok. then why does everyone make a big deal about immagration? bush wants them here to do work that you will do. thousands of jobs will be lost maybe yours. this highway is the ultimate slap in all americans faces. bush has led you to believe that immagration policies are important, then goes to court to get millions of illigals here. this highway will lead to the fall of the american dream. bush does not care about american families and thier jobs.

Are the Americans in denial about Iraq turning into Vietnam, a war that they will eventually lose? I think Britain should pull out as soon as possible. It's not Britain's war and Britain gains nothing from it as the greedy Americans will keep oil profits and reconstruction contracts to themselves- this being a cynical point of view I know.

I want to know the specifics with regard to law in the State of California on this subject. Who makes the illegal action in the downloading of a song. Is the person who downloads the song guilty and under threat of facing a civil action, or is the person who allows the uploading of a song already in their possession. are they both at risk of a civil action. by what means do authorities find out when a song as been downloaded or uploaded?

I'm in the Army, currently stationed at Fort Drum and on leave in Indiana right now. I bought a new car here and am driving it back to post. This got me thinking. Am I going to have any trouble getting on to post?

Do you think I will need to show my vehicle registration at some point? I haven't gotten my car registered yet because the dealership said it'll be 2-3 weeks before they can mail the title.

I know to drive your vehicle on post it needs to be "registered" on post as well, and they'll put a sticker on your windshield. Don't you need to show your registration (as well as other info) to get this done.

I just don't know. I didn't think of this before and I am really afraid I'll get stopped at the gate and have to abandon my car or something.

Bombed by their allies
The military is giving little away about the killing of three British soldiers last week, pending an inquiry. But was it folly or the fog of war?

Sorry I had to repeat the story
One thing that beat me is the word we use as friendly fires. I think during the time of Robin Hood and the other wars I have read and seen in the movies the dress code so different that you know who is the friend and who is the enemy. The fighters flying from the south to the North West over the Afghanistan knowing the English were here should have been more careful. What I read is “In the friendly fight three English soldiers died".
How come this overlook has no apology from America?

Several weeks ago it was found that Australian Opposition leader Kevin Rudd went to the strip club in 2003(spending tax payers money!). People are saying that is shows that he is only human and more in touch with the general public. If John Howard was found to have done this, there most likely would have been some sort of parliamentary enquiry and he probably would have lost the job.

This is the same with the Andrew Johns thing. He is still seen as some sort of a hero. If he was a “lower” player he would probably be fired.

What do others think?
