Bombed by their allies
The military is giving little away about the killing of three British soldiers last week, pending an inquiry. But was it folly or the fog of war?

Sorry I had to repeat the story
One thing that beat me is the word we use as friendly fires. I think during the time of Robin Hood and the other wars I have read and seen in the movies the dress code so different that you know who is the friend and who is the enemy. The fighters flying from the south to the North West over the Afghanistan knowing the English were here should have been more careful. What I read is “In the friendly fight three English soldiers died".
How come this overlook has no apology from America?
I thank you

The expression is actually FREINDLY FIRE, known in the Military as BLUE ON BLUE, the colour blue being used to denote Allied Forces, Enemy Forces are marked in Red.

As this case involved a conventional bomb dropped from a jet the colour of uniform makes no difference as the bomb was blind and has no brain to recognise uniforms.

They were 3 Brirish soldiers as there is no ENGLISH Army the soldiers predominantly coming from Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England.

Also planes do not just fly in straight lines from the South to Nort-West direction has nothing to do with this tragic accident.

No apologies are neded until the inquiry is completed by the relavant military authorities..

Perhaps you should research more before you post your question.

Despite your alleged education (I have an MBA as well but I am secure enough that I do not have to mention it in unrelated circumstances) you have not grasped the concept of war. War is an ugly thing, when people try to blow up other people it can be stressful. It can be stressful and difficult when flying the speed of sound. Because of stress and the fog of war there are sometimes mistakes made and people die. It has happened in every war ever fought..

Once the investigation is completed I am sure that the US military will make the right choice on how to proceed.

I am sure the English military fully understands the concept. I was fortunate enough to have served with Englishmen in combat and I can tell you they are some of the finest men I have ever met.
