At the present time the voting age across the world is typically 18. When the right to vote was first accorded in democracies the voting age was generally set at 21, or in some cases at an even higher level. In the 1970s widespread reform led to a reduction to 18 in a large number of countries. Debate is currently underway in many places on proposals to reduce the voting age below 18.

At the age you start to pay attention and can comprehend the political process. Some 15 or 16 year olds are "ready" to vote while some 25 year olds.

In the US you are given the right to vote at the age of 18 when you become a legal adult.

18 years in most democracies and is irrespective of a person's literacy, as is the case in India..Often the election staff indulge in guiding the illiterate voters, by hand, to vote for the candidates of their choice. If voice sensitive electronic voting machines can be devised in future, some things similar to the voice mail option in cell phones ,probably, the voter can speak into the machine his choice.

18 is the legal age.
But when you look at the left they never look into facts and deal with the truth they buy votes with Crank like in Toledo Ohio in 04, register dead people and try to do the same with illegals to get votes. and they bus in people and by their votes.
Each and every one that sells their vote and is not looking at the facts of what is good for every one in the USA and not just one group should never be allowed to vote as this is a privilege and a right that many people in the world try to come here as in their home country's they would be killed for trying to what is right so thy take this to heart and many here do not.
A not only those that come her thr legal route are welcomed.
