Correct. You, as the apellant, are appealing against an earlier decision of the court or mandatory fine. If your appeal is upheld by the court/arbitrator, the original decision of the court/imposition of the fine is deemed to have been overturned and the ruling quashed. You don't have to pay the fine and any points added to your license, as a result of the original ruling, must be removed.

I've filed maybe a dozen appeals since June. 3 were denied and they've never gotten back to me on the others. I haven't felt like choking anybody, but I have called in a couple of markers owed me by truly nasty supernatural entities. Edit Chill Cowbell, it's not like the real Stevie Ray Vaughn has used that identity for at least 10 years, what with being dead and all. Maybe this guy channels him.

An Appeal can be a 'reversal` or a critique
of the procedure ot the trial.
A reversal means a finding of innocent.
A critique means a new trial with the original
verdict suspended but not reversed.
