I live in france legally and I'm a civil servant here even though I don't have the nationality My british passport has expired and costs too much to renew here.I don't have the ID card as I'm not french but I do have their Carte de Sejour (residence permit).
Will I be able to get on eurostar for example or will I be refused.I don't have time to apply for the ID card or wait for it to come through, things take ages here especially in administration.I know the french can travel with an ID card but can a Brit with his residence permit because I need to travel soon?
Has anyone been in this situation before?

The van is parked outside my house every day. I have been in touch with the company but nothing has been done. I have sufferede this for 4 years and have got high blood pressure and have bouts of depression. It has impacted on the price of my house, and I dont see why I should move due to inconsiderate, disrespectful people. I want to now check out another avenue. The man that drives the van is retired and 70 years old, he works from 10am till 3.30pm every day, but the van is not moved at all over the weekend. Does anyojne know anything about income tax that should be paid on thes van if they are brought home? Thank you for any swift replies.

The Tories want to ban plasma televisions because of their energy efficiency. That has got Gordon Brown on the band wagon and he's proposing measures for us to cut down on our carbon footprint and reducing taxes on homes. This is all a fallacy. The earth goes in cycles (Ice age to temperate) and they're using this as a ploy. There's money to be made out of it. When will this government allow us to lead a normal life. I don't hear George Bush telling the Americans that they've got to leave their gas-guzzling motor cars at home and be more economical with energy. Do we have double standards here?

I don't smoke, and I never will, but what I do think is that this ban is absolutely ludicrous. It doesn't matter whether you think smoking does or does not kill. What matters is that these idiotic people have taken the right away from smokers. It would be fine if there was a pub for smokers and a pub for non smokers, but there is not.

Now I am a basically a socialist libertarian ... I belive the government should stay out of most peoples lives unless it is to protect them from business...

However I really do wish for a free and independent Republic of Texas. I know most people think of Texas as a die hard conservative place. Yet, it is actually become a more liberal state. As of now, Bexar, Harris, El Paso, Travis, & Dallas Counties are all Democratic Party Strongholds (The largest Counties in Texas).

I am don't think Texas is ready to seperate yet, but in 5 or 10 years a vote for independence with a more liberal government .... I would love for this to occur ... what is the opinions of others ...

And no conservative bashing I told you Texas is slowly coming around ... I am asking about a free and liberal Republic of Texas

People have physical urges that need to be sated..Outlawing the patronization of sex workers just drives these customers into the pockets of crime kingpins and deprive the state of the right to tax a lucrative trade.

In fact they have done something worse than Hitler did, coz this is going to be a constant problem. Israel had not existed for centuries; it was a Mohammedan country, Palestine, surrounded by Mohammedan countries. Now just because you won the second world war and you happened to be in control of the land of Palestine, you forced the creation of a nation. It is arbitrary. The people are Mohammedans, it is their country. Israel may have been, thousands of years before, the country of the Jews. But for thousands of years it has been a country of the Mohammedans, and suddenly you simply change the map... and surrounded by the whole Mohammedan world. In the Middle East all the countries are Mohammedan.
This small country, Israel, is going to continuously suffer; and how long can America help it? And how long are American Jews going to pour their money into Israel? Sooner or later the truth of history will have to be accepted. towards Jews, they should have given them an Israel in America.

His Best friend (I eat steak, Bush) has endorsed Howard at APEC. He is going to lead this next election and is full of himself and confident that he will win it. This leads me to believe that this slippery little man has something up his dirty tracky sleeve. Can the Australian people believe him? Mr Smirk (Costello) will have the same old tired policies that his Master had but with a different spin. Please let APEC be his last Hurrah.

1 I realise that the parents have been found guilty of child neglect, by the media and public. Assuming the facts are not in dispute, it would still be a question of law whether their conduct fell within any enactment concerning child neglect.

2. There are allegations by some of the answerers that the parents have committed murder. If this is not true then these are heinous and defamatory allegations. However, my question is this: although it is not necessary to prove motive in English law, what motive is ascribed to them by all the people who have found them guilty without trial?

Some friends and I were hanging out today, and we started a big discussion about Bush. Well, my friend said something, and I wonder what all of you think: So, say Bush had to answer for some of the many things he has done in office that screams stupidity;(ie:the massive lack of help during Katrina, among others) and you were allowed to ask him one question, and he had to answer truthfully (ha).... what would you ask him? And why would you ask him this one particular question? Just thought that this would be an interesting question to ask you guys..... :0)
