Great apathy and negative feelings are being noticed in Yahoo Answers Forum towards Hillary Clinton's presidency. Most of the criticism is not based on any firm and consistent facts / convictions. But they are the voters and power lies in their hands for choosing. The damage may be done.

One wonders whether the apathy is specific to Hillary Clinton or the American society has not yet evolved enough to accept a woman as their president.

Experience is some thing which can't be wished away. That Hillary as wife of Bill Clinton, President for 8 years preceded by his tenure as Governor , Arkansas state is some thing solid. Most of the women chief executives of countries across the world have been the popular choice of their people by virtue of being the wifes / daughters of the earlier leaders of the nations.
Take the case of the longest reining British Queen Elizabeth II, though a constitutional ( ceremonial )Head of the state is there by virtue of being daughter of the previous king.

It seems that all the attention is on World War 2 and the Civil War - World War 1 military collectibles are often rarer than World War 2 and Civil War collectibles, but nobody seems to care - why is that?

Hey everyone, I would first of all like to commend all the soldiers fighting for our freedom, weather it be stateside or overseas. I recently had a long distance friend who I haven't seen in a few years totally lie about being in Iraq via Army reserves for two years. Things he was saying weren't adding up, and it was confirmed he wasn't there through searches and a member of his family tonight. I am still in a state of shock about this, and don't even know what to say to him. This has actually inspired me to join (after I have been debating it for a few years) and I couldn't be happier. God bless America, and let's support our troops!!!!!

This happened to a buddy of mine while I was in the passenger seat and he was driving. We were driving behind this cop cruising at 90. Most cops do this. They just fly on the highway when they don't have their lights on. He pulled into the next lane then got behind us then pulled us over. He ended up giving my buddy a ticket. My question is, why do cops think they get special treatment to fly on the highway? If they get a call then that's one thing, they should put on their lights, then fly. But if they're just cruising around, why do they think that just because they're a policeman, they don't have to obey the speed limit like everyone else?

We invade, rape, kill, immmigrate "illegally" which i don't think is possible. and then prohibit other people from doing it and then on the other hand celebrate christopher columbus for doing it.... only he raped and killed the people who he stole land from. The people who are "illegally" migrating over here aren't doing anything but wanting a better life.

After all Americans Stole Texas from Mexico. And plz don't say it's "illegal" because of security and you don't want terrorists to come over here because the only terrorists that came over here, came over here LEGALLY.

Wait let me correct myself, America doesn't call EVERYONE who migrates over here without the "proper papers'' Illegal just people who aren't white. Russians, britians, Dutch and Canadians come over here with no problem. just look at Marai Sharapova. Need I say more?

I just don't get it.

I hear that a lot as argument, why the US must be the best place to live, because of immigration! People immigrate all over the world back and forth for various reasons. Cubans go to Miami, because its close. Nigerians go to France, because it was their colony once. Poles go to Germany, because they want to get work.

I am in the market for a semi-automatic pistol for personal/home protection. I've narrowed my choices down to two which are commonly used by law enforcement and military: the Beretta 92FS and the Smith&Wesson MP, both in 9mm. Does anyone who's experienced have a preference between them, or have information which could help me decide? I know that the 92FS has a huge reputation but the MP looks like a very thoughtfully designed gun.

Bowling for Columbine freaks and NRA/Ted Nugent freaks, I'm sure you will feel compelled to comment on this or to each other in response to this question. I'm sure that you all mean well, but you will be ignored if you don't have the kind of information for which I am asking.

Now, please understand my question is not about speaking ill of this country, I am proud to call my home the great U.S.A.! I support all those who fight for our freedom and for those who can not fight for themselves.

It seems to me the terrorists hate the western lifestyle because of the gluttonous, glittery and corrupt ways that have become mainstream in our country. Yet the Hollywood liberals speak out against the war, don't they know the terrorists would kill them before they would the average U.S. citizen if they had the chance? They shout out against our fight for democracy, for our desire to protect ourselves and others from terror. They do this under the guise of "political correctness" and "peace and harmony". Do they realize it's they who live the lives these extremists want to do away with?
Perhaps Hollywood would benefit from issuing a self-evaluation and realize it's they who give our country and culture a bad name.

"RAF Tornados have intercepted eight Russian bombers as they approached UK airspace.

The Bear Tupolev-95 planes - which can carry nuclear and Cruise missiles - were detected by Nato early this morning.

Typhoon intercepts Bear last month
Ministry of Defence officials said four F3 fighters were scrambled from RAF Leeming in Yorkshire and RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.

The Russian planes diverted before entering British territory.

They headed back to their base in north Russia without incident and are still thought to be in the air, with Nato tracking their progress.

Sky's Defence correspondent Geoff Meade said: "Diplomatic relations between Moscow and London haven't been great for some time and I think this is maybe a bit of sabre-rattling on behalf of the Russians."

I don't understand liberals. Unemployment is at 4.6% and this decade the average unemployment rate is the best in 40 years. the Dow-Jones Industrial Average is over 13,000 and Consumer Confidence is at a six year high. The dot.com bust was the worst economy since the Great Depression yet the highest unemployement got was 6.4%. If the unemployment rate was 0.1% they would complain. CANT LIBERALS JUST SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
