because we are very myopic, its not that we think we are the only ones with the problem , but we only care about ourselves on that matter

Let's not get carried away with generalizations here. I know not one American that is under the mistaken belief that the United States is the sole destination for immigrants, legal or otherwise. This doesn't mean that there aren't any, they just may not be as numerous as you believe. Of course those other countries, most of them anyway, actually do something about illegal immigration, where the US has all these laws regarding immigration, and our politicians don't seem too keen on enforcing them.

America is not against immigration. We are against illegal immigration with all sorts of people crossing over into America....many of them thugs, rapists, drug smugglers, murderers, etc. We should close our border by building a huge fence and arming it with electricity. Americans have the right as citizens to protect ourselves and if the federal government will not do it then we must take up the cause and do it for ourselves. Enough talk. We need action.

People in the US do not beleive they are the only ones with immigration. Legitament immagrants are welcomed. However it is worth noting that we have the largest illegal immagrant population in the world. A population of 11 million people have decided to live off the grid without any accountability. The continued efforts of foreign goverments to circumvent US law has made this a very contentious issue.

Citizens of the USA are aware that other countries encounter immigration problems, we just don't care. Other country's immigration problems are just that, their problems.
I can't speak for any other Americans like Canadians, Panamanians, Brazilians or Peruvians.

Could it be because for quite a few years we've received more immigrants than all the rest of the world's nations combined?

Not the "best". The saying is..."if it weren't such a good place to live why would people be dying to get here?" I agree...some countries have it worse than the US when it comes to loose borders and illegal immigration. But...that's their problem, we have a big enough problem of our own to worry about.

US citizens do not believe we are the only ones with immigration. Where do you get your information? Are you that badly informed?
Americans are against illegal immigration. If you can't comprehend the difference, I don't have the time or patience to explain it to you.

who knows maybe its cause so many seem to hate the U.S. but so many sneak in here, anyway our biggest problem with it is we seem to be changing for the immigrants instead of them changing for us. I no longer need to go to Cozemel for vacation, i just go to the Texas coast. who else has 25 million illegals?
