I love it how conservatives will bring up Carter everytime they have to defend Bush. The only way they can make Bush look good is if they trash Carter and the Dems. That's pretty sad if you have to do that to make yourself look good.

Half-baked policies coupled with incompetent carry through is about the best I can say about the Bush administration. Given that Bush himself is more of a stooge than the leader of the junta he supposedly 'leads' you have to wonder who came up with these policies and why. I suppose they really believed that invading Iraq would serve some over riding national purpose, but believiing you're not wrong isn't the same as being right. Long after it became apparent even to the movers and shakers of the administration that the occupation of Iraq had failed they refused to acknowledge the failure, hoping to pull some kind of rabbit out of a hat. Their fallback position was to blame the 'liberals' for the 'defeat' when nobody in their right mind would stick their neck out to endorse this Iraqi adventure they cooked up. The tragedy of this whole post 9/11 situation is that poor old former drunk and ne'r do well George Bush had a real opportunity to rise above his own limitations and take charge, giving himself the 'legacy' he so desires. Instead he listened to the people that got him elected only to use him, use him up and then throw him away. Deserted by the 'friends' he never had, he's now less than a ghost in a suit with zero influence on events. Sas...so sad!

This poll is casebook example of extrapolating the wrong conclusions from a survey. The 33% figure could be just hard-core Obama haters and proves nothing about where a president stands relative to his peers with the general populace. The same could be said for the 28% who say Bush is the "worst" or the 35% who say Reagan is "best." This poll is a good way for Quinnapaic to generate publicity, but the methodology doesn't support what they claim it does. (So says a South Dakota State grad who did his master's thesis on political polling.)

If you mean a president that will strive and strive to protect the precious oil in a foreign land while not caring that millions of innocent people die because of it, then I would say Bush. "Mission Accomplished" years ago, and we're still over there in full force for what reason? At the same time, thousands sat and died in New Orleans from no help what-so-ever for days and days and days and no one showed up .... thousands that needed help here, in America. He is the worst president EVER.... in my opinion...

While it may be (is true) that Bush is the worst President ever, the word "Failure" most completely and accurately describe President Bush and his policies. Instead of making the Middle East a bastion of democracy, he has destabilized it even further, gave power in the region to the Iranians and has put the Pakistani government, a nuclear power, at greater risk of overthrow from Islamic Militants. Soldiers now sit in Iraq only in an attempt to save his political legacy.
His devout belief in oil profits has pushed this nation deeper into energy dependence and furthered global warming.

I don't think worst president ever is fair since none of us were alive for even half the presidents. Definitely a miserable failure though. He's a puppet; someone definitely has their hand waaay up his ***...
