We invade, rape, kill, immmigrate "illegally" which i don't think is possible. and then prohibit other people from doing it and then on the other hand celebrate christopher columbus for doing it.... only he raped and killed the people who he stole land from. The people who are "illegally" migrating over here aren't doing anything but wanting a better life.

After all Americans Stole Texas from Mexico. And plz don't say it's "illegal" because of security and you don't want terrorists to come over here because the only terrorists that came over here, came over here LEGALLY.

Wait let me correct myself, America doesn't call EVERYONE who migrates over here without the "proper papers'' Illegal just people who aren't white. Russians, britians, Dutch and Canadians come over here with no problem. just look at Marai Sharapova. Need I say more?

I just don't get it.

Here is the deal:

Take personal responsibility and accountability for yourself. Make the right choices for yourself. Because someone else did something is NO reason for you to do it. It is also no excuse for you to do it. You know what is right, you know what is wrong, live authentically and quit looking at other to the left and the right. Look in the mirror at yourself.

Next, it is 2007. 2007 in a global economy, in a world of instant technology, and yes in a world of nuclear weapons......all this garbage from you pros about how america was founded, Christopher Columbus , etc just makes me roll my eyes. It simply isn't relevant in todays enviroment. An emotionally satisfying argument doesn't matter a hill of beans of it isn't intellectually sound....and this revisionist history isn't.

And know, you really DONT need to say more. You are definitely DONE.

You have no clue! You just have freaking clue whatsoever!!!

Yes! There are WHITE people getting deported little miss thang!

Germans, Brits, DUTCH (can't get much whiter than my Dutch husband who was deported in February - who came here legally and we were in the process of filing papers when his visa expired - 6 weeks mind you - I thought it didn't matter - however with all of this other crap going on - it doesn't matter WHAT color or how you got here) - read something other than what you are hearing on the radio or watching on TV - EDUCATE yourself on REALITY

I know for a fact that there is plenty of information on the internet stating the statistics of the countries of origin........you might find them useful - look them up and quit believing all of those soundbites you're hearing

I can tell you stories of the people that I met that came here as babies from Europian countries and are now being deported....yes they should have become citizens by now - however - they are still being deported back to Europe - the same as the others are being sent back south of the border.

Americans, as individuals, are no more or less hypocritical than anyone else.

As a powerful nation, the US has done things that would shame Hell, but so has any other powerful nation.

America invaded Hawaii, a sovreign nation, and used American marines to protect "American lives and property" despite the fact that the "American" were citizens of Hawaii and not the USA. That's just one example.

Britain fought a war with China, for the right to sell opium.

Spain enslaved a continent (South America).

Holland enslaved a country the size of the USA (Indonesia).

I'm not American, but I wish you guys would quit picking on yourselves. You're no better or worse than any or the rest of us.

first of all,we didn't steal Texas,we had a war with Mexico and won it,as far as raping, killing, and "illegally" immigrating the answer is simple.Think long and hard for a minute and name ONE culture that hasn't done that since the beginning of time.Every culture fom the Aztec to the Zulas and everyone in between has dominated or fought over territory and probably always will.America did not invent this. Now as far as illegal immigration how do you feel ablut working your butt off, paying taxes, and then having that tax money going to support some border jumper who wants to collect welfare and milk our healthcare system for them.Personally it rubs me the wrong way, especially when many children who are legal citizens here go without.I see where your question is coming from, but I just can't agree.btw,I have no problem with legal immigration, and I use the tem border jumpers loosely,as illegal immigrants come here from everywhere, not just Mexico

uhm we didn't steal texas from mexico. texas delcared its own independence from mexico, was an independent country for a little while, and then eventually decided to become part of the US. and please stop acting like all americans are a bunch of idiots who point fingers and don't think about anything. a.) none of that history stuff ws really relevant to immigration today and b.) america is a great country. we have problems, some major (many caused by the current president) but all countries have problems- there is no such thing as a perfect society in the real world. i reccomend you try redirecting your energy that you're using here towards bigger problems than illegal immigration- The Darfur region of Sudan (and the fact that that problem is spreading), the war in Iraq, and other things that are directly threatening people's lives. the bush administration is just bringing illegal immigration back up to distract from Iraq- don't let it work.

ps- you mention the terrorists here got in legally. following your logic, we could remove all immigration policies, because the terrorists will get in anyway. does that really make sense? nooooo...

Every thing you said is about history except the first line.
Thank you for admitting that you invade, rape, kill, and immigrate illegally.
It is rare to see one of you so honest and willing to admit to your sins and crimes against America.
By the way, it is possible to be illegal, it means you are not following the established laws.

And oh yeah, we have looked at Marai Sharapova, nope nothing more needs to be said, you wish you could be that hot.

My god you're dumb. I really don't think I have seen a rant that incoherent and off base.

1. Maria Sharipova is not called an Illegal because she is not illegal. She has a LEGAL visa.

2. The 9/11terrorists were out of status as students, making them illegal. Furthermore do you know all of the terrorists here? How do you know they don't try to run the border? Rassam (the centenial bomber) was attempting to gain entry on false documents (that's illegal by the way). We (CBP) have intercepted many likely terrorists attempting to gain entry with coyotees (human smugglers, not animals) on the Mexican border. But don't let my real life experience win out against your poorly thought out rant.

3. I recently denied entry to a man from Romania because he had overstayed his visa by seven years. He was white and you're d@mn right I call him illegal. We deny people from Canada every week in my port. They're white and ILLEGAL. Again don't let things I have seen and experienced first hand on the border trump your dillusions.

4. I don't know what your school is teaching and I am pretty sure you don't know either so let me clarify it for you. Texas was BOUGHT from the Mexican Government with their consent AFTER Mexico attacked us. It's not our fault their plan to take more land from us didn't work out. It's in your History books, you should check it out. Books are those big collections of paper with words on them. By the way, Mexico offered us the Baja penninsula but we said that was too much.

5. No you don't need to say more, you have said quite enough already. Next time I suggest you think things out and maybe do a little research though. It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

You are full of it. ANYONE who immigrates here illegally is illegal. Their race has nothing to do with it. It has always been that way. Only the immigrants of the past had to go under MORE STRICT rules and laws. All the WHITE Irish, German, etc. immigrants actually had to have REFERENCES! They had to have PROOF they could support themselves and Dr. notes that they were healthy and not mentally ill and not alcoholics, etc. They had to go through WAY more than an illegal who just crosses the border and thinks they have it rough. Give me a break and quit making excuses. Waaah, they want a better life. Well, work for it then and follow our laws, simple as that. You want to work hard, then at least follow application procedures and wait your turn. But apparently that is harder than just coming here and invading. And we are making that easier and easier for them.

Hitler killed millions.. does that make what Charles Manson did OK? Obviously not.. so clearly your "it's ok for them to engage in crime because somebody else did too" logic doesn't work.

Drug dealers, bank robbers and muggers are just after money for a better life too.. does that make it ok? Again, clearly it does not. Your "it's ok to commit crime to better your life" argument also doesn't work.

And before you start off on rants about US stealing Texas from Mexico.. remember to include the fact that Mexico stole it from Spain.

And we call EVERYBODY who comes here illegally "illegals" the problem is the vast majority of these criminals come from Mexico. And FYI, Maria Sharapova's official residence is currently in Russia, although she was brought to the US as a 7 year old.. really you should look these things up..

As always, the arguments made by the pro-crime crowd prove to be pure idiocy.

By the way, it is we Americans not us Americans.

You obviously are hanging with people whose ignorant views you are expressing now. America does not condone invasion without sufficient provocation or defense of national security. Albeit, the situation in Iraq is arguable, but the situation in Afghanistan is rock solid. The Taliban (Afghanistan government) attacked America and killed 3,000+ citizens (remember 9/11).

Who is telling you that America condones raping and killing? There are scores of American service people (men and women) who have been sentenced to long prison terms for such acts or are presently facing charges and court-marshal. It definitely is not condoned and people caught are punished severely. War is hell and bad things happen to innocent people. America has bad people too, just like every country has. I dare say that the incidences of American soldiers raping, killing and torturing is extremely rare and certainly far lower than that of other countries engaged in war. Believe it or not, at this moment, there are many wars being conducted on this planet earth that America has nothing to do with. They are barbarian, savage wars that even utilize children as soldiers.

The Texan settlers, not The U.S. Government, rebelled against tyrannical rule from Mexico (Remember the Alamo) and succeeded, much like America rebelled against Britain in The Revolutionary War and won independence. An independent federal republic,Texas, later opted to join The United States of America.

Today, the pursuit of economic betterment alone is insufficient grounds to immigrate to America. There is good reason for this. If America opened it's doors to everyone in the world, no matter what their qualifications, I guesstimate that half of the world would flood in with the hopes to improve their economic situation. This is not the 1800's or early 1900's when America's open door policy existed. There were absolutely zero social programs in place then ... no welfare, no free hospitalization, homeless shelters or soup kitchens for the poor. People had to be very tough to survive to make it. Many did not. America was a very hard and cruel place for immigrants. It was survival of the fittest.

Today, there are social safety nets for the poor. America is not so rich that the tax payers can afford to invite every poor person to come and immigrate. Immediately, there would be an avalanche of tens or hundreds of millions of people coming to America and it would not stop. They would stress out the social safety net system very quickly. Soon there would be massive inhumanity, mayhem, chaos, riots, crime and cruelty would be everywhere. It simply could not be controlled. That is the reality of today.

The realities of the modern world have to be realized. An orderly immigration policy must be in effect. And yes, that means accepting educated people with needed skills first or people who have money who will never be a strain on the social safety net system ... people like Maria Sharapova's father. The system is color blind, it doesn't care if the immigrant is black, white, brown, yellow or Hispanic ... but they must not be a potential drain on the system and they must have something to offer America.

Canada is a developed nation with most of its citizens enjoying a fairly high standard of living. They have little reason to over stay their visit to America and remain illegally ... most are highly likely to return home to their families and good jobs. Therefore, Canadians enjoy a non-visa requirement to visit U.S.A.

Open your eyes and stop listening to dull witted ignorant people.
