Terrorists hate most the very people in our country who are speaking out against the war?

Now, please understand my question is not about speaking ill of this country, I am proud to call my home the great U.S.A.! I support all those who fight for our freedom and for those who can not fight for themselves.

It seems to me the terrorists hate the western lifestyle because of the gluttonous, glittery and corrupt ways that have become mainstream in our country. Yet the Hollywood liberals speak out against the war, don't they know the terrorists would kill them before they would the average U.S. citizen if they had the chance? They shout out against our fight for democracy, for our desire to protect ourselves and others from terror. They do this under the guise of "political correctness" and "peace and harmony". Do they realize it's they who live the lives these extremists want to do away with?
Perhaps Hollywood would benefit from issuing a self-evaluation and realize it's they who give our country and culture a bad name.

You are being very naive if you think the terrorists hate the Hollywood lifestyle. They hate Exxon, and Halliburton and all the big corporate greed that they come up against everyday. They hate the fact that were invaders in their land, there for oil and to protect our access to it. They hate American capitalism and Hollywood is a small part of it.

But the liberal left still speaks out against the war because it is George Bush who is pursuing it. No other reason except their maniacal "Bush Hatred Phobia" that has had them in it's grip since the 2000 election.

The liberal left cannot stand to see George Bush succeed at anything that his administration does. That is why the dimmocraps and the media and Hollyweird and the Gay/Lesbian activists and everyone else that can be lumped into that political spectrum cannot see the truth about what would happen to them in a world governed by Islam and Sharia law.

You're right. Some liberals claim that the islamic fascists only hate us because of our foreign policy. But they are the same people who murder Muslim civilian women in their own country because they don't wear a veil. One presumes that wasn't because of the women's foreign policy. These people are at war with the American way of life, and if we don't fight them over there, we will have to fight them here.

In general, at this time most of the terrorism has a religious basis. This is not always true. Even today we have also racial-based terrorism, politically-based terrorism and economically-based terrorism. And maybe a few variants. We also have politically-correct-based terrorism, the oh-so-carefully-nice kind.

Many reasons, some complex, but in all cases really based on selfishness, even when it is selfish retribution for real wrongs of the past. And nearly always a desire to have what someone else currently, rightly or wrongly, has. May be power, may be money, may be land area, anything someone else has and is not giving to some group that believes it is rightfully theirs, and cannot get it legitimately. Or are not willing to go through normal social and legal channels. Or as often is the case, are relatively uneducated and so are easily deluded by a charismatic leader who brainwashes the followers, often making illogical but emotionally powerful promises, in return for them to use force while he is safely out of range!

Right now the major terrorist groups we find are Islaamic, and that stems from the tenets of Islaam, which are to subjugate or destroy all other religions. Pure and simple. And all the complaints about the West having taken over, etc, are then linked to the desire to kill or subjugate and take the wealth from those who do not join in the jihad.

We, in the West, where religion is getting to be merely a figurehead, and in most cases anymore we do not follow our own faiths, if any, cannot understand the drive of Islaam to subjugate or kill any non-Islaamic, that is built into the faith.

The "Hollywood" types, and the usual "peace at any cost" folks, simply do not understand. The "Hollywood" lifestyle, as you note, would be the first to go if Islaam conquers, because it is totally contrary to Islaamic morality. And as vigorously as they remove any liberal or corruptive elements in their society, they would wipe out anything "Hollywood". But the "liberals" cannot see that, not ever having really studied what Islaam is, or does..

And the "peace at any cost" people I think need to study the real costs of converting to Islaam, because there will be no peace with them unless they do and pronto. They need to consider that the cost MIGHT be they would have to murder their friends and even family after converting, or be killed with them. I am afraid that those who say "peace at any cost" do not study what the real cost will be.

The Jews who bought their lives by paying the head taxes lived, with their families, but at terrible cost, shorn of money and history and values, and made into second class or lower citizens.

It is too bad that all the appeasers obviously have never studied history well. Appeasement lasts only briefly, and brings much suffering especially by humiliation and oppression of the family unit, which really suffers. Appeasement has been tried many many times, and always fails in the end.

Look at Israel, gave the terrorists Gaza, and then they still launched terror rockets only with better aim, being closer.

"Political Correctness" is a polite cover for a lot of kinds of trying to control the lives of others to please yourself; in other words, to deny them freedom since you are offended somehow by them using theirs, or speaking clearly and truthfully. Often it is caused by your exercising your right to be free to be right. It is used as a weapon to remove our freedoms bit by bit. And sometimes, History tells us, our forefathers found it necessary to offend people because they were interfering with our freedoms.

I am sure good old King George found our independence quite politically incorrect! And we had the gumption to fight then. Today, folks are so used to the idea that we deliberately hurt our own people to be politically correct to everybody except those whom we wish to control. Those are OK to hurt!!

They should read a MAD cartoon strip, where the "hero" goes about saying he is a peace loving man and goes around shooting folks. Says there ain't nothing so peaceful as a dead man!! .

I am not sure as long as Hollywood gets the adulation and the money from so many of the rest of us, they will do anything different. They like themselves above all, and think the world owes them admiration and a silver platter. And yeah, they will be surprised if and when the terrorists get ahold of them. Though they may just fall for the terrorism and act as desired when directed, and turn on their fans. Their morals are very relative.

But I am sure that as long as the fans build them up and make them rich, they will continue to live make-believe lives. And great may be their fall. One thing they are short on is education in the history of appeasement. But then, they are products of the government educational system that doesn't teach much about real history, or ethics for that matter. And they are too busy marrying and giving in marriage and indulging in all sorts of vices to realize that judgment well may fall on them unexpectedly. "As in the days of Noah...", and disaster strikes unexpectedly.

Anyhow, I agree, but not sure what can be effectively done.

All we can do is ourselves live good moral lives, and avoid supporting the parts of society that are not making America great as she used to be under a system of moral correctness rather than political correctness. Of honesty and honor rather than doubletalk and double-dealing. Maybe start by voting that way; there are honest politicians out there, and honorable political parties. It has been suggested, of two evils, choose neither! But find an alternative.
