Yes, the British Police can become more involved with the investigation when they return to the UK, although there have been UK officers in Portugal with the family since the story broke.

no is the answer to that. no offence as been committed in the UK and the british police cannot interfere with another countrys investigation unless asked to by that country .

however the social services may appear at the airport to ask questions but that is entirely up to them if they think the other two children may be at risk in light of the new developments

If you look at UK Citizens that are in the far east abusing young children,they can be brought to justice when they arrive back in the UK,so it would be the same for the McCanns and more over Maddie is a UK citizen .Hope that makes sense to you.I have knocked the McCanns from the start of this and Please God I hope I am wrong I will be the first to put my hands and apologise

Only in UK if the DPP decides to prosecute, or in Portugal if they are invited to do so by the police there (which they are unlikely to be).

oh thats a good question...
if its found she did it then i don't think we can try her for it but i think we can dole out the punishment..... i can't really see anybody taking over a million pounds in donations and having soo much coverage on the matter when they did it themselves.... is someone that sick?
