Yes I think you're absolutely right there. Remember the deputy prime minister "Two Jags".

Yes there was a big article on Yahoo tech. They said that they were only being made by Panasonic in the future because they didn't last too long and were too expensive to repair. LCD is more better, but now there is another tv made with LED and that, although expensive is much better than all the others put together. The choice is yours my friend. Good luck!

Absolutely spot on, I'm not sure about double standards more like no standards to me. Just one addition to the other answers, nobody mentioned the fact that in desert Storm the first Iraq war billions of pounds worth of explosives generating God knows how much crap and heat were used. How much did that deplete our natural resources, and of course we will do it all again if we deem it necessary. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, it's just the way it is.

It appears that we, the downtrodden masses, are expected to do everything we can to help the planet. Why should we when the government carry on with extending airports etc. which are hardly eco friendly. When I see all our politicians turning up for work (ha ha) on their bicycles (without a car being chauffeured along behind them), then I might take notice of their pleading for our co-operation.
I will continue to re-cycle etc. because we need to do something about the levels of rubbish we are churning out.

I entirely agree with you,the earth does go in cycles and yes they are all jumping on the band wagon and making money out of it.How many energy saving bulbs have they got in Westminster? I tried them and they are neither use nor ornament.I agree entirely with recycling we should all do that, but some of the things they are coming out with are so stupid. We are all expected to follow like sheep. Baaaa Baaaa Baaaa.

In the US, their is no shortage of any fuel and true global warming is a myth. What consumers need to do but will not do is stop buying so much, like TV 'S, cable, satellite, internet, cell phones and their contracts, boy we stop these money makers, you'll see people jump off buildings!!
